A supreme feat by an extraordinary woman.
An example to us all.
And made a "Dame" as she sails into Falmouth
My hat is off.
:) :)
Seconded.
However, Mr Dog, to me you have always been extraordinary with supreme feet, and I look forward to you becoming a Dame. Especially in tights.
Running away now

What an absolutely amazing thing to do. We were talking about this last night. I mean what IS it that drives people to do stuff like this? It kinda reminded me of the guy who 'flew' across the channel with a set of red bull wings stitched into his lycra suit .... feckin nutters.

indeed many hoorahs... more balls than most,
An outstanding achievement. I was watching her arrival home on the telly and the amount of folks who took the time to welcome her home was fantastic.
Well done Dame Ellen MacArthur. :D

Was lucky enough to meet Ellen after her first record attempt.
Maybe it was 2001? I forget.
She had her boat on display next to our stand at Southampton boatshow.
Maybe 2002?
You're jealous
I can tell
Yeah.

Okay , okay - I'll share him with you.
Which part would you like?
and I'll chainsaw it off and send it you in the post.
"special delivery"

Okay , but there is a very strong chance we may raffle bits of him off for our forthcoming Rocknite.
I'm not sure I would like to 'win' Mad Dogs 'bits' in a raffle, Chaz.........

I know where there's a Welsh rugby fan who would like to.
I read about that, stupid welsh git!
perhaps it should be made compulsory for all welshmen to have their balls cut off.

Am I the only one here with any sense ?? (apart from dougie)
Big deal, she sailed a boat around the world in a record time...Big F/N Deal !!
lucky she had a following wind....
Why O' Why is everyone getting thier knickers in a twist over this ??
Granted a "Dame" title..FFS
Lets give titles, and acknowlegement to people who really do somthing important in thier lives........What about Mcmillan nurses who watch thier paitents die every day....or how about foster parents who take in handicapped children and bring them up as thier own...theres lots of unsung heros out there who go about thier day to day lives without looking for any return ......not like Ms "Dame whatsername" who will no doubt get loads of money from B&Q who sponsered her.......
Makes me sick.....
(Rant mode off)
