Theyre them melty type jobs and i think theyre actually meltin. As such im suckin more ****e out of me gum than Marc Almond does at a fag party. Everything tastes like bloody crap, even m&m's :(

I broke a tooth climbing up Cader Idris a week or so ago in the snow. Me marathon had frozen solid and me tooth broke trying to chew the bugger. Get to the dentist 3 days later and find that somehow some pillock of a dentist in Newtown (Old home town) had managed to weld me tooth to me feckin jaw. Basically had to have part of me jaw cut away to remove the tooth :mad:
Im gonna sue Marathon for making marathons to hard in freezing conditions :D

You sure It was frozen and not just a bit stale, they haven't made Marathons since about 1986. :p :D
As you're not best pleased about it, would they be CROSS STITCHES :o
Glad you're ok mate, I reckon you've done well ......some people have had to have 6 or more in these sort of situations. :D

Well it aint to bad at all apart from all the bits in me mouth and the taste.
Freak, theyre still Marathons as far as im concerned, im not gonna call em summat else just cause foreigners say i should. Right, off to rub some Ulay into me mits after using Jiff to clean me teeth :D

Aaaaaahhhhhh! Spangles, bloody loved em and Opal Fruits to exept when it was hot cause it took ages to get the bloody wrapper off. Oh, Jelly Tots to and Curly Wurlies when they were still big enough to last longer than one bite. Used to love Xmas as a kid cause you'd get all those in a pack kinda thing, best bit of xmas mornin was makin meself sick before dinner :D

In amongst all the out of date white chocholate, but on the plus side they had those bloody lovely oatmeal blocks

Never saw white chocolate,unless it was the Tiffin bars gone foosty!
As I remember the exchange rate was 3 Tiffins for one Dairy Milk.
The oatie blocks were cracking!We had a Scaleyback (signals) sarge who hated the compo cheese so much when we wired a box of the stuff to the door of his wagon on exercise he slept underneath it! I loved the chicken chewing gum (chicken supreme) by the way.

Yeah, I had some spangles in a rat pack about 1998.....and that pack was dated 1980something!
Spangles were better than those green boiled sweets, though. :)

Hi Rob, you have my sympathy about the gob mate, I had a similar thing for three weeks just after crimbo, had to have two back teeth cut out....feckin hell it was grim! only four stitches though and those bastard disolving ones didnt! four weeks later its healed, and I spent hours fiddling and cutting the bloody things out .... was like having a mouth full of rope by then... :D

last i see spangles was a rat pack in about 88 , they were so old they old they had started going soft, ah the good old AB biscuits too :D

I believe they tried to resurrect the good old Spangle back in the late 90's but they weren't square like the original ones. Bought a pack and was very, very disappointed. You just can't go back.....
I love old sweets that have gone like jelly on the outside.......
