I`m looking ideas for suitable 4 stud, 4 inch PCD trailer wheels to fit 15cwt indespension units for a teardrop trailer.
and was wondering what wheels will fit, ideally ally rims, I don`t fancy using standard 8 or 10 inch trailer wheels because of the profile/load rating.
or has anyone got a set for sale.
I`m also considering making the running gear T frame detachable so I can bolt on an existing trailer box that I have enabling me to have a 2 for 1 chassis, trailers

Have you got room for 10" or 12" Mini rims or 10" Reliant rims. They are 4x4"PCD

it will be a newly built running gear somy options are open since the rest of the teardrop will be built around the running gear

at 15" they are a little big me thinks
13" at the most would be better for the load rating :)

I believe indespension units were built to take a mini wheel as standard, although the others mentioned will fit.

some supplied 4" hubs have a grease nipple in them which you cannot use if fitting mini wheels.

When you say tear drop trailer I'm thinking something like the American Mullins from the '50's. Is that right?

In which case you might want to look at Morris 1000 14" wheels, or A30 13" ones.

its something that some here have mentioned before, and its got me thinking, as i`m the kind of person who`s always got a little project ongoing, and making 1 would also suit my skills and keep me out of the pub, the only thing I`ll have to be careful with is not going too large on the wheel size and not going over the permitted weight without needing braked hubs. but I`m only looking at building a trailer for 2, to keep the size to a minimum.
there are some exccelent teardrop websites in the USA for sources of info and ideas.here (http://purplesagetradingpost.com/sumner/linksteardrop.html) and here on a teardrop forum (http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/index.php)
