Hmm not sure, but as the subtext mentions, if motorists know a biker they are more observant, if not they don't give a shit and I don't see this advert changing the (Wank/shit/bollocks..delete as appropriate) attitude of motorists anyway.
Still as they say, every little helps.
There was a radio ad on this morning round these parts.
Sort of went, although I'm paraphrasing (or summat) here.
"Alreet, My names Jack. I share a flat with me 2 mates Al and Billy in Jarra and I work at the law courts on Newcastle quayside. I ride a Yamaha R6 to work and back so if you travel along the Felling by-pass and across the Tyne Bridge into the toon. Keep yer eyes out for iz would ya?"
I thought it might have had more impact if it had said say 'I live with my wife and 2 year old daughter' but it's good to see these adds being used. Might even make one or two numpties look in there mirrors when they here it.
Nik would have Sir Drop A Lot on his sign. :D

pointless useless, these car driving morons dont give a shit what your name is, how many kids you have, or where you work, so long as they can run you off the road, and get away with it, their happy !!!!!:thumbd:
It would be pointless if there wasn't any adverts to educate road users about bikes. I have always advocated driver education and this advert does do it's j*b of spreading awareness. Granted it wont stop numpties from pulling out but if just one driver changes his habits then surely that's a bonus? At least give some credit for that.
So would Grav ... ;)
You burnt yours..... :D

Thats the point I don't think this advert does that, it has other over riding conotationns that moot the main point. It also doesn't give strong enough message about safety or lives that can be wrecked.
Always like that premise in an advert that there is as much danger to the car driver. Eg a 60mph mottorcyle imppacting into your drivers side door iis going to hurrt you alot!!!!

It wasnt that long ago I remember people saying ''What happened to them think bike adverts''
at the end of the day, with the radio adds, and this, if it saves one biker/motorcyclist being t-boned etc its got to be worth it hasnt it?
and remember the add where the guy pulled out and looked bit upset cause he'd just hospitalized a biker? well perhaps this is a better approach
The radio add in London is about a guy who rides his scooter to the theatre as he works back stage, says his name and says keep an eye out for me,
At least they are doing something
