View Full Version : Yoda & Freak! oh boy oh boy, you aint gonna believe this!
How could I resist telling you now that they are on their ways home and unable to defend themselves.
What a couple of great guys, who didn't buckle at the manic nature of me two boys and gave me a chuffin good chuckle, just what I needed!
You might not think much of it but I can't believe that these peeps took time out to come down, when we didn't even know eachother.
Obviously when you chat to someone for the first time, you pick up on a few INDIVIDUALITIES.
Yoda arrived first, in his Bentley Continental with electric everything and real camel-skin foot rests. Boy can them brummies speak fast, we covered Politics, religion and sex in just a few minutes. Unkindly I teased him by lighting the hob and moving the frying pan, before sitting back down to wait for Freak to arrive.
For Freak well thats his frankly disturbing addiction to crisps, yeah he seems to get some sort of high from ingesting these innocent potato snacks! Apparently he measures the effect, we'll call it the McCoy Factor, in how sweaty his head gets. His plans to crush and snort them in the future was, somewhat enthralling.
My gorgeous wife ploughed into the sarnies and Freak finally broke down and accepted the addition of an egg in his. With 66% of sporting beards, the runny egg was a small hurdle.
All that said, I appreciate you guys taking the time of yer day to come and see us, you made a grumpy git laugh - I look forward to seeing you guys again soon.

i only know yoda as a customer and to speak to on the phone.
but i have an idea of the money he's spending on his trike.
freak evidently can only afford crisps.
then you offer free bacon butties. of course they were gonna bloody invade you.
and if it meant putting up with kids.it's a small price to pay

What a top afternoon, great food, great tea and hilarious company. Had a bit of moment coming home though.
After being influenced by Yodas impressive ability to drive like a nutter whilst taking photographic evidence of the speedo at, shall we say, warp speed  . I perhaps stupidly decided to try and outdo his acheivement on my way home during the short trip up the motorway. As I approached terminal velocity with the engine screeming and the tappets bouncing of the cams, the second from last car in a long line of vehicles cruising the middle lane and unaware of my ridiculous closing speed pulled into the outside lane. Having just overtaken said cars and with the road in front visibly clear I was somewhat unwilling to scrub off any speed by pulling up behind him (I was turning off at the next junction and rapidly running out of motorway). So with ciggy in one hand and phone in the other it was into no-mans land between outside lane and the central barrier to squeeze past said unobservant vehicle. As I hurtled through the general debris found in the middle of any motorway I'm sure I spotted several familiar objects in the headlights, bits of tyres, a squashed traffic cone, a hundred crisp packets and the obligatry Maccy D's wrappers all of which at over 115mph severley upset the balance and handling abilities of me van  .
It then suddenly occured to me.
I haven't got a camera phone :o
:D cheers guys.

Love fast machines, filmed meself doing 128mph in the 2.8 capri and have some film of me and lad doing around a ton in Spain coming back from Faro. Last time I broke the ton on the M25 coming back from Gatwick. Had taken Babs and family back for flight to Bangkok. To relieve the blues I was feeling I was floating along at 115mph when the blue lights in the rear view mirror attracted my attention. I pulled across one lane and he pissed of past me..... He slowed down further on, but nothing ever came of it!

Bloody hell. Well, I had a go on my little bro's newly rebuilt gpz500s I got to 70 odd down a little farm road, then the front end went skittish and i got scared. bloody good front brake though. took my maxim x to 112 once, but that was on a single lane road again so i backed off -rubbish front brakes!

Done 135 on a GTR1000 on m-way, dont long sweeping curves get tight at that speed.

Yep, but don't things shrink quickly in the rear view mirror........ :D
CBR900 RRW a couple of days before I nigh on killed meself on it, I came down the awesome long and steep Blunsdon Hill in Swindon with 3 miles of totally clear dual carriageway displayed ahead of me.
I don't know how fast I was going but the bike had finished accelerating and it was totally silent like flying!
