That was nasty, bearing in mind that he was only wearing a cutoff and seemed to be doing some speed before the wobble. I hope he wasn't hurt too badly.
It all seemed to be done on the cheap, No armoured leathers, No camera car, riding on a main road. And all power to the bloke riding it but he should have kept the speed way down until he knew all the weak points.
I wonder what happened to the first bloke to ride a motorbike.

I wonder what happened to the first bloke to ride a motorbike.

Dunno.
But the first person to go for a ride on a motorcycle might have been Gottlieb Daimler's wife. In 1885 Daimler put an internal combustion engine that he'd made in a wooden bicycle style frame, and equipped it with a drive to the rear wheel.
I remember reading somewhere that his wife pinched it and took it for a ride before anyone else worked up the courage... :rolleyes:
Which is admittedly at odds with the official version. But...

She ran out of petrol on the way back and had tto pop into a chemist to buy some fuel... She went to see family to towns away... but daimler made the tank so small it didn't quite make it:D
