I've just inspected my tyres on my Suzuki Intruder 800 and guess what.......... yes thats right they are illegal and need replacing thats both front and back. This is my first bike so could some one suggest a decent make of tyre and what I should expect to pay for supply and fix .
Thanks

don't know which one you got.
i replaced the 170 x 15 dunlop with a 180 x 15 bridgestone.on my 1400 which firstly gave me more clearance between tyre and swingarm (very odd that) and secondly better handling especially in the wet.
i have a conti on the front which seems fine.
a 200 metzler will fit the rear of a 1400. :)

I've used Contis for a few years with no probs, okay,it's an old GS550,but a mate runs a GPZ750 with a Gixxer 750 mill and running gear.He uses Contis and he's very happy too. They are very underrated with excellent grip, they last well and they're cheap (comparatively speaking).

almost any modern tyre is good, though didnt like original dunlops on mine..

Just had this vision of Fayji with his arse dragging on the ground with a bit of old rubber tyre tied to it to stop the friction burns! :)
Always used Metzler (VERY happy with) on my VZ800 until I grafted the Super Blackbird Wheel on which has a dual compound Bridgestone as recommended by a guy I know in the tyre business, but I haven't used it yet so thats no use to you is it really :D

I put Avon Venom X front and back on my 1400 truder and would recommend them to anyone .They were a big improvement on the Bridgestones it came with :D
