I will mate! My Dad was bombing the cr*p out of the coastal defences 48 hours beforehand. Then on the day almost got shot down by friendly fire! It aint new or just Americans, that do it!

My grandad was shot in the back by a french sniper hiding in a churchyard. grandad was part of the Recce corps and one of the first in. He couldn't talk about it for most of his life, had nightmares, spent 2 years in hospital with his wound, got £100 off the government to retrain and started a career as a barber, he used to be an engineer in the Bristol air works, he died only 2 years ago aged 83....still suffering from complications to his wound...!

and who were we fighting? Just hope those ready to sign up for certain nationalist parties know exactly who we fought in WWII
