One Tonne, and you'll have to get it weighed with a certifikate from an approved weighstation.

i thought it was 500 Kg as well - to be registered as a 'three wheeled motorcycle'
however - someone who shall remain nameless - ahem - took a trike to a weigh station (in a scrap yard) and it turned out to be 520Kg - they explained to the nice bod behind the counter what the deal was with the 500kg thing - and he suggessted that they move the trike a bit until the front wheel was - ahem- a bit close to the edge. hey presto - 490Kg printout
- edit - just looked it up - its 410Kg according to http://www.trikeshop.co.uk/trike_law.htm

To qualify as a trike in SVA it should be less than one Tonne in weight, under 14 feet long.
To qualify for motorcycle taxation rates it should be under 410kg
To qualify for Class 3 MOT standard it should be under 450kg
As Reliant 3 wheelers gained more "luxurious" fittings they crept over the magic weight limitations, so they used to be tested by removing the spare wheel, tools and anything loose in the vehicle. They would then have the oil drained out of the engine, gearbox and rear axle, plus the fuel tank.
