Sorry guys, I shouldn't be using this forum to air me problems, seems a bit wrong.
I'm alright really, expect you've all been there where it all seems to be going wrong with me wife/kids/job/money/cars/bike/family 'kin everythin really..... blah blah blah.
I'm 31 and should be able to sort meself out fer christ sake, but it hits home when your own 4 year old kid tells you, you don't laugh anymore!
Is it possible to forget how to enjoy yerself?

Is it possible to forget how to enjoy yerself?
Yes - it's possible.
Unless you are suffering from depression or some other illness, it is also possible to tell yourself to snap out of it. If your 4 year old says that you are not laughing enough, take him/her to the park for some playtime. That'll soon perk you up!
Also, ask yourself (in all seriousness) if there is anything wrong today that wasn't wrong yesterday. If the answer is "No", then life isn't getting any worse so you might as well smile. If the answer is "Yes", then take your 4 year old to the park for some playtime. That'll soon perk you up!
:)

Is it possible to forget how to enjoy yerself?
Yes! Give up your well paid job and go to university, live in abject poverty for three years whilst the house falls apart around your ears and exam stress makes you and your other half's hair fall out:D
Our answer is to forget about it this weekend, go to the Snowplough rally and get disgustingly and uproarously drunk and/or stop wearing clothes.
The bad times don't last for ever - it just feels like it at the time. At least you have a lovely wife and children!
Big group hug ;)

That's a very observant 4 year old.
Maybe some people just don't know how to enjoy themselves...or can't enjoy themselves.
I know one or two of them - no matter what you do they're miserable. But.... they seem to enjoy being miserable.
Makes sense?
No?
I must be a tosser then!
Umm Doro
Could you stop posting those pictures please, my boss keeps asking me why I am trotting back and forth to the toilet.

something else to cheer you up, i was updating the wedding list this morning on the website, picked up the piece of paper of the names i had writen down and doro had added an extra one ' bluebottle pie', funny i thought , never heard of them
i updated the site
got a PM from doro asking who bluebottle pie was
turns out bluebottle pie is one of the foods that she was using for her RACING FROG and she had writen it on the list to remind herself.
awww sorry Jay
but are you a ikkle bit more cheered up?
it's easy for 4 year olds, they don't have to pay the bills or cope with everything
phrase that seems to fit mr chaz's view
'most people are as happy as they make up their minds to be'
but I don't think it applies to you Jay, being stressed out IS NOT the same as being unhappy with yer lot
you need to lose yourself in a simple pleasure
I used to go for walks in the country with the dog
does wonders for your soul
plus the dog can't do anything but look interested when you tell her all yer troubles :)
and/or stop wearing clothes.

Doro don't feel bad at what I am about to say but you'll never believe this.
We took a 2 week holiday down to Devon in November and had to come home early to collect my dog from the kennells and have her put down.
She's currently in a little box (ashes) in the window waiting to be buried next to our other dog who died in August!
Yep, thats right.....I'm a total loss :D
mr.chaz
03-02-2005, 03:42 PM
Right you're happy....how do you do that?
Luckily , I still managed to keep my sh*t together and have a plan , even when things got a little bleak. Sooner or later the plan came good and now I don't ever put me in a position where I ain't happy again. Now I concentrate on enjoying meself and trying to make other people happy or have a laff.
If people don't want to laff along with me , or can't see what I'm about - then I tend to just leave them alone and ignore them. I think life's too short to waste time on stupid people.
Makes sense?
Yes?
No?

If I'd known that trying to make our payments wouls affect you like this, I would have made them higher!
Sorry to hear you had a bad downer, but everybody seems to have been doing their bit to cheer you up. My luck runs over years and sometimes there are a good few 'Bad' ones, then something trivial happens and the whole mess turns round....
Have a good day today, It's Friday..... :D
Cheers mate, does this mean I can take a payment holiday this month?

Mrs R sez: Did you do any nekkid frolicking then - feel any better :D
Okay, alright I admit it...Mrs R convinced me to dance about naked to music in an attempt to obtain a eurphoric state of happiness and bliss!
I gave it a try and after noticing that next doors cat was watching me through the patio doors, decided to draw the curtains!
But I decided that if I want to bloodywell prance around my own front room wearing nothing but a hairy back, I will - so I opened the front curtains and thought sod it.
Only to be confronted with my next door neighbour chatting to my good lady about their cat not coming home the night before!
It's astounding how fast a naked prancing bald bloke can leap out of a room and up the stairs!
Having said this, I was getting it on in big way to some Deep Purple and I gotta say this is a very liberating kinda thing. Once you get over that embarassment issue of course!
Mrs R & Mitch - I dig your therapy. :D

I'm meetin Laur and TS at the Bike museum..but ya not far away may just pop down as soon as i can ride a bike again after me op.
Just tell your 4 year old that she now has an important job !
She has to make you laugh at least once a day.
She'll feel dead important and the enjoyment of trying to keep a straight face while she trys should make it all worthwhile.
Hey guys, cheers for your kind words.
Jim, me wife and kids (they are boys though mate) have all noticed how much cheerrierierierier I am thanks to you lot.
Fred, that rumblin was more likely to have been me belly - fishfinger curry will do that to a bloke you know!
Anyway like I said, you guys are welcome at our house anytime, but I don't expect you to muck yourselves about on my account, specially with the weather forcast for this weekend.
If you are coming down though, let us know how many so we can get some bacon and eggs in for a good load of sarnies! Oh and some sprouts obviously!
Cheers Jay, Mrs Jay and the two little Jays
