For my part, best not to.I'm not sure, but I reckon our drink driving laws are a wee bit more draconian than yours. But,if I'm not driving I like a good beer or three.

Guiness, Vodka and Red bull, or a Bottle of Dog (which you wont understand at all Lady Rider).

Legally its only about 1½-2 pints (depending on the strength of the brew)

Yeasty beer buggers my stomach... so I gotta gently creep up on it with a nice iced glass of Rolling Rock.
Then when it is lulled into a false feeling of security I hammer the sh*t out of it with Vodka!

As Ladyrider is from Houston Texas, I'm gonna offer some advice.

Pop over to the next state - Louisianna and look out for a bottled beer available in very few places down in the bayou:-

Blackened Voodoo Lager

It is the closest drink I have found in the states to anything "real" that we have over here in blighty.
Served in a dark bottle with a black label with a lightening strike over a graveyard picture on it. Best thing I ever drunk in the good ol USA.

Sure got some looks and comments when everyone else was on "Bud Lite"
caused an intake of breath when I ordered it, and absolute astonishment when I had covered my table with these bottles - all empty and I was still standing.

Now, where's me chicken bones ?

most bitters, real ale, single malt, red wine, most really......

but no lager.

Place a bottle of vodka in the freezer, wait till the water content is frozen. Get a large glass and pour a good double and swallow down in one. repeat as necessary and before long.... Little pixies playing around your feet and tripping you up. Use this as the only anathetic for leg and manage to get more than four hours of sleep.
JD, Whisky, Bud (not light), Hobgoblin and alcopops....... :o

Tescos used to do a lager with a chillie pepper in the bottle, real hot stuff and great on a summers day. My oldest son used to pull the peppers from the bottles and eat them straight down, eeeuuurgh!

What this gentleman said.

As far as bitter/ales go Hobgoblin, Speckled Hen and from this part of the world (south Wales) Brains SA, Hancocks HB and Reverend James.

I made a stupid pledge when I was 13, to drink all the Stella in the world............Still going!

Apart from that a decent red, white or rose, some real ale, bitter, most lagers, sherry, medeira, port, a little after shock, whisky, gin, rum, creme-de-menthe, vodka, brandy, love liquors and the odd panda pop (though that stuff's bad for ya)!
