'Tis true, came home from Wales once in the rain and my feet were sitting in boots full of water almost the whole way.

Years ago my despatcher boss told me about a tip he passed onto a rider about keeping your feet dry when your footwear ain't waterproof or you're in for prolonged rain. The tip was to wear a plastic bag over each foot.
Several days after this tip was given, a customer rang up wanting to know why the rider was walking round with plastic bags round his boots.
