I'd like to hear from anyone who's suffered at the hands of the North Wales Police force, aka Bastards Force.
If you've been treated unfairly please email me Here (dafyddmonks@yahoo.co.uk) I think I've been treated unfairly and want to speak to others who've had the same treatment to get some information behind me and maybe start a campaign.

Near welshpool but it was my own fault..
You know how it is you get a new bike and at least once need to see its speed ceiling..
I ended up with 6 points and a fine of 130 quid so i think i got off lightly..
Sneaky hiding place is still used today.. its on the up hill straight as your heading out of welshpool towards Llanfair on the A458.

you're not going to belive what they booked me on - turning round in a 1-way street. The only thing - the engine was running and the bike was turning under it's own grunt.
Then I got a load of crap about my blown indicator, and the chain tension and the fact that one of the panels was off the bike as I'd been working on it and was going into town to pick up parts.
And I got £60 and 3 points. Talk about no mercy.

Yep Porthmadog Police , Pwllheli Police , Dogellau Police, Penrhyndeaudraeth Police and North Wales CID. But a baseball bat and moving home to Lancs worked for me. Oh happy days! :D

what is it with the north wales taliban police? have they nothing better to do than victimise road users? is crime so low there they can afford to direct so much of their resources in traffic 'management?

Old Chief Wolfy boy , now says that nasty violent films and books are to blame for our breakdown in society. We should read more Jane Austen. Did anyone see that in the papers last week.
Mofo should keep his stupid mouth shut .
I wonder if it's him that visits my website each night, every night?

nah the police only do it because it looks good on the stats (look how many criminals we caught this year ) thig is motorists are an easy target we pay up straight away, we dont cause trouble and we are a hell of a lot easier to catch than real criminals

I've ridden the roads you are on about enjoyably for years and never been done once, and i'll tell you how to, and its perfectly legal .................................................. ....... we know coppers hide behind trees, wait round corners etc etc cos they are there every weekend, the press tell us, forum members tell us about them,so here's what to do......................use your f*cking common sense and stop whingeing when you get caught.the majority of riders that get done are not local, thats cos they remember from one week to the next that the coppers are there.and also the council tax bills go up and up every year cos the police and local authorities are spending more money scraping up plastic pete and his mates from the roads.I live close to Brecon, and the mountain roads there are A1,but we still get the same twats riding the same bikes week in week out, thinking that their ability matches that of the bikes.
now some forum members will obviously have a pop at me cos I haven't conformed to the "we are bikers so we are allowed to break the law without fear of getting caught, and when we do we will cry persecution" school of thought" But perhaps they wasn't the ones that stopped to help my mate who was hit head on by a fireblade,on the wrong side of the road, doing over a ton,he later said that he was riding sensibly even though it was a blind bend, oh and one other thing,he didnt have the guts to attend the funeral.

People that ride past their own abilities are a danger to others. I do however think the level of how anal people are with respect to points, is unfair, not just on bikers.

i agree with you to a point dusty.
60 mph is 60 mph. if you get caught going faster then you do only have yourself to blame.
i was coming down the main (only) street in my village on a trike. volvo in front of me indicated left to pull over, which he did. but he indicated left so he could get over far enough to do a u turn. which he did, still indicating left. i'm on the brakes but as he is now across the road in front of me my front wheel went straight into his door( and i found out that i was right not to have the gear shift between my legs)
anyway cops arrive. and although i had 8 witnesses to say what had happened. my trike was given a full road worthyness check. while said dork in volvo got a producer. he did'nt get breath tested (i did) even though i told them that the last alcohol i'd had was 7 years ago :D
but then a cop turns up on a pan european, now he did rip into said volvo dork.

I presume that turning round in a one way street, at some point means you are facing the wrong direction up said street, which aint quite legal is it??
Also, bad chain tension as everybody knows is not the thing to have from a safety point of view, plus the indicator etc, just gives a copper the fuel to get pissed off with you.

It never ceases to amaze me how the attitude of bike cops is so different to that of the squad car brigade, maybe the car boys should be made to go out on bikes for a few shifts.I know from experience that a bike cop will not automatically take your side as a biker, but he WILL asses the situation on its merits and act accordingly, unlike (most ) car cops who are blinkered in their perception of bikes and the peeps who ride them.
Know what you mean about the trike thing though, got stopped on my goldwing trike along with a mate who was driving my skoda trike(dont laugh ) the dozy copper booked me for no helmet and no seat belt, when i pointed out that i needed neither one, he turned and pointed to my mate who also wasn't wearing a belt and said that I should be sensible like him and ride a trike with car seats, that way i wouldnt be able to fall off. He couldn't understand why i was laughing so much when i took the fixed penalty from him.
If you break the law and get caught - tough ****, swallow it, pay the fine and move on.
NW Plod are being hard on road users, however they are enforcing the LAW - and there can be no argument about that, even though their clear up rates are crap and their work is suffering.

Oh yes, crims can do almost anything else and get away with it, just remember folks if you are going to commit a crime in north wales, make sure your getaway car is fully legal, drive at reasonable speed and you'll never get caught!

The scary thing about that is it's very near the truth. Gone are the days of getting away from a crime scene as fast as possible Sweeny style. It's more a case of 'stick to the speed limit driver and keep yer hands on the wheel'.

Speed, sorry safety camera's dont catch many crims at all,do they ?but they do make exceedingly large amounts of cash, and yet in Blaenau Gwent, the police are saying that council tax bills have got to go up again to pay for the police to stay on the streets, why cant they use some of the thousands they make from cameras ?

Take the "safety" cameras away form normal roads and concentrate them outside schools etc.
AND more to the point if they put them at every set of traffic lights, they would make shed loads of money, with the amount of wankers that jump lights or just ignore them !!!!!!!!!!!
