Hi,
Anyone got an 18mm spark plug socket/ box spanner for a Kawa GPZ 500-1990.?? Normal deep sockets are too thick in sidewall to get into recess in the cylinder head around the plug. Have looked at fleabay-nothing there.
Thanks,
Greg

Try buying a sacrificial sockett of the too thick variety and getting someone with a lathe to turn it down a smidge (if you know of a frendly lathe owner nearby that is:rolleyes:) box spanners are about try local tool markett or hardware shops, I've bought a coupla sets, one was £8 or so in Salisbury markett, in a tool roll too. Fraid your probly too far away to pop up and borrow mine:(

Try 'The Green Spark Plug Company' they do all kinds of spark related tools and older, hard to find plugs. I used them for a special 14mm spanner for my bike 'cos there is hardly any room under the tank and you can't get a socket in there. I used a ring spanner last time to tighten the bugger when it shook loose.:D

just box the box sockets sets there around 4.99 and start at 10mm upto 22mm :):) still got mine after 15 years and they make very useful spark plug sockets were space/depth is an issue :):)
