Well I reckon there are some days you just shouldn't get out of bed and today was one of them.
Rear brakes were making a horrible grinding noise so decided I'd have to make do without them until Mitch put new brake pads on at t'weekend, some feat only using front brakes given the hills round here but I had no choice but to ride in as important day at uni.
Anyroad, I forgot not to use back brakes on a particularly steep hill and the back brake stuck fast, me in middle of road unable to move in any direction or get off as the hill was so steep. Feckin' car drivers giving me grief and honking like I normally just sit in the middle of the road for no feckin' reason the w*nkers. Naturally noone got out and asked if anything was amiss so I gave them all the finger the inbreds :D
Eventually after much kicking of the brake pedal and trying not to fall off I got it unlocked and off I went.
On the way home later on that afternoon I gently came to a halt 2 miles out of Seaford, bike refused to start - yes! I had run out of petrol and reserve refused to work as well!!!!! I had to push a heavy feckin' GT750 over half a mile to the nearest safe place, couldn't leave it on the side of a busy narrow road, again much hooting and ribaldry from local wags but no one stopped. It's amazing how hot it is pushing a bike wearing all the gear, I was ready to pass out!!!!!!!!!.
Anyhow the worst thing was the whole event was witnessed by a coachload of french students who were outside the local pub. I really hate them now, much cat calling of "biker' and "caput" and laughing. I snarled at the little f*ckers but that made them even worse - they have no survival instinct, like lemmings.
Anyhow finally got the bike started again after it had 15 mins or so rest and prime and reserve and a damn good thrashing and now at home with no clothes on in front of the pc trying to cool off - lovely imagery there for you
:D
Do other folks have bike trouble like this or is it just me????????
