Locals 'tut'

I was out fetching me paper this morning when a car pulled alongside me. A well to do gentleman driver and his good lady passenger asked me directions to a particular street. Me being a helpful local fella asked the lost couple whos house they were trying to find so I could be a little more precise in my directions. "Oh it's our house, but we haven't been to this particular one since the Summer." :eek: That's right, they couldn't remember exactly where one of their weekend houses was :mad:

There then followed a verbal incident.....on reflection, perhaps I was a little harsh. It was probably their drivers weekend orf :D

That's where you went wrong, should have given them directions, nice and calmly to a totally different part of town, or better still to the next town along. Used to do that as a kid, in London.... :D

The correct procedure for such incidents is as follows;

Look slowly up and down the road.
Draw breath through lightly clenched teeth.
Scratch arse.
Say "Weeelll, 'f Oi wuz goin' thur, Oi woodnt ztart frum yer!"
Stick tongue out of side of mouth and dribble.


Hopefully they'll sell up within the month. :D

thats nothing round here caars dont stop, they drive through as fast as they can
the only cars that do slow down are doing drive by shootings :eek:
