Help. I`ve burned out my coils on the gsx750. Can I use the coils from my gs1000. Are the coils the same throughout the gs, gsx range?

Yes & er yes :)

You can use the coils from any of the air cooled gs or gsx range no bother :thumbu:

but is your gs1000 points or cdi? if its points, they will still work on the cdi equipped gsx, but eventually the cdi will fry them.

Just got back...Thanks John, I believe I am using points on the gsx but I did notice that the one coil (1 and 4 plug)got very hot.
Decided to stop and have a beer and a think...
Wish I had a phone number for a good wiring person down here.
