I was once taken to court by British rail for paying too much for my train ticket.
I was traveling from L,pool lime st to Bristol Templemeads on a Sunday. I was working as a bricklayer down there on the Watershed. The ticket I bought was the more expensive white saver ticket but I travelled down on a blue saver train. T he guard checked my ticket and made an unschedueld stop outside of Birmingham. We ended up wrestling on the ground with me trying to throttle the thick beaurocratic jobsworth wanky puff faced gob****e of a guard. I didnt realise about the ticket costing too much and I had even offered to make up any outstanding deficit. When I finaly arrived at Bristol there was a crew of poice with dogs waiting for me. One pig said "I know what you've done you scouse bastard, trying to travel down here on a cheap ticket." Very articulate the Bristol police! Again, not wanting any trouble I offered to pay the outstanding fare. The pig not wanting the paperwork aked the guard what the correct fare should be . " £24 "(this was around 1987) he said. The pig looked at my ticket and after utilising his extensive detective skills noticed that the price of my ticket was £32. The guard then claimed that I assulted him but Mr piggy was having none of it. Realising what had happend I gave in my real name and adress (i wanted to see this through) Lo and behold I received a court summons to appear in L,pool magistrates court. I turned up but BR didnt. Case dismissed.
Any one had similar experience?
