Much as it pains me to do so, I need to clear some space in me garage so me old Zed needs to go.

It's a Z1000ST with a single seat/frame mods/engine protectors/front n' rear carrying racks/exhaust hanger/side-mount numberplate all pro-done by Pointy Hat Wizard Fabrications. It is, of course, matt black.

It's got new semi-knobbly tyres, new air-filters and a new battery, an Acerbis headlight, Renthal 'bars, handguards, V-Max rear shocks and a one-off exhaust.

It's also MoT'd until October and I'll stick some tax on it when it goes.

It's a big old solid bus with a very low seat and it's ridiculously easy to ride. It's not fast, but it's not slow either and it'll sit at 85mph on the motorway all day. I've done a couple of 400+ mile trips on it and still been able to walk afterwards (something that can't be said about the Changeling).

What else can I say? It's a good starter, the brakes are okay (it's a 1980s bike, remember), and I've been running it around for the last couple of weeks (ahem ... of course I haven't, occifer, it's got no tax) and it makes me smile.

Price? Well, I'm not really in rush to sell it so closest offer to £1500'll get it. I'll also bung in a tank bag and probably some other stuff too.

PM me on 'ere if you're interested or ring/text 07719 679078. Oh yeah, it's in Norfolk, by the way.

:)

Anyone else spot the obvious joke about a rat (OK survivalist) and a canal...

OK, I'll leave it then.:p

Tested it on Monday.

Bought it today.

Great ride, sticks to the road like a very sticky thing and is a lot quicker than Nik led us to believe :thumbsu:

And I can get both feet on the ground when I need to :thumbu:

Glad you got back okay! I know there's nowt wrong wi' it, but I still get mild paranoia when I sell stuff, y'know, 'specially to mates. :)

I think you got the good deal - rode home on Changeling and it doesn't feel anywhere near as nice to ride as the Zed does. And it's done a fuggin' fork seal now too.

Just back from a ride out to the Anchor at Friskney - sod's law - waited in til mid-afternoon in the hope of sunshine; gave up and went in the mist. Got home, climbed off the bike, and the sun came out. :D

Still great fun, though it's many years since I rode without mirrors, still a bit paranoid

It must be the bike cos if it's either of those two miscreants she clearly needs sectioning.:D
