basically a biker pub with camping and bands

only cost is whatever they're charging to see the band...£2.50 on the night we're planning

so unless I hear otherwise from Pat or anyone today I will book it for 20 tents, costs nothing so not a problem

no doubt gypsy will find the address and stick a multi map link in

only rules, no patch clubs, no cans or bottles (apart from water, they do want to sell their own beer after all) no fires no pets


it won't be exclusive to us of course, but that means we don't have to worry if only 3 people turn up!

we will all be able to camp together and have a laugh!

haven't asked about barbie, especially for the morning, dunno bout on site loos either, but if no one has voiced any strong objections then I will book it up for us tomorrow morning

Good parking but a bit near to town for my likeing, good bike and trike roads around it.
Donnington is only round the corner from it and there is a good market on a sunday if you want cheap stuff.
Lots of stalls doing boots, army stuff (no tanks or rocket launchers yoda!) etc

As far as the man himself is concerned - he's a nice bloke. A few years ago, I was in the process of starting a Graphic Design company and thought the name Stormbringer to be ideal for it.

So I wrote to him and asked if it'd be Ok to use it.

He wrote back and said yes! as long as I quoted that it was a trademark of MM on stationery.

I still use it! So if ever you see Stormbringer Design on anything, that's where it came from... ;)

:rolleyes: Hi Guys, I'm Harder to get rid of, than skidders in a students underpants. Will be at the Vic, if I can come in the car as the trike is taking some time (something I don't have much of at the moment). Today was my son's wedding and that took some time, and I am off to Thialand in 16 days.
I am also doing a full time job (with overtime) and doing a job at home on my computer, which also ties me up somewhat (see http://ewokandtuck.com/bondage ) and you will see what I mean.
Really enjoyed last Forum Members do, can't promise a 'Love God' caberet this time though. Look forward to seeing you there.
Only thing that will stop me going is if date coincides with my ladyfriend, Babs, going to Thailand for two years. She is going sometime in Sept. with the date yet to be arranged. :eek:

Situated between J22 of M1 and J13 of M42 on the A511,follow signs from the ring road for Hermitage Park Hotel and the Victoria is about 100 yards away, a large white pub with two very large car/bike parks standing in its own grounds with ample grassy areas, and trees and shrubs surround two of the sides. The Vic is becoming recognised on a national level and bikers have travelled from many parts of the UK for a weekends camping, fun and frolics.
The atmosphere generated would be hard to beat anywhere, many of the top live bands play here including most of the tributes:, Limehouse Lizzy - By-Jovi – Gunz and Rozes – Livewire AC/DC –The Rollin Stoned – T-Rextasy etc etc, There is sometimes a door charge Fridays and Saturdays please check gig guide before setting out.
all bands are on stage about 9pm.


Apart from the Live music the camping has to be the next biggest attraction, many bike clubs will visit the Vic throughout the year and campover for one or two nights,The camping side attracts mainly small clubs, clubs connected to manufacturers, ie Honda owners club, Harley Davidson, Suzuki, BSA, Triumph, Trike clubs, Streetfighters, Classic and Vintage, plus of course many couples of all ages will camp over. Camping is £2.50 per person per night which includes as much free tea and coffee as you want the next morning, ( pre-book thru the pub please). There are obviously toilets and washing facilities. Donington Park and Mallory Park are only 10 minutes away.


Food is always available in some shape or form, the BBQ normally starts about 9pm (seasonal and subject to weather conditions) and runs through until about 1am for Burgers, Hot Dogs etc, the bar shuts at midnight but tea and coffee is on tap until you’ve had enough, in the day we do Curries, Chip butties, bacon butties, breakfasts, belly busters etc.

Bikers are in and out every day of the week, there is never a night that we don’t see any

Mondays to Fridays we don’t open until 7pm Saturdays and Sundays we open all day from 12 noon"

I'm afraid there is some bad news. Sir Ewok will not be able to make it to the Forum Members Party after all. Some arab guy is sueing me for using the name Harrods, saying that peeps may connect my inflatable rally shop with his establishment. How on earth anybody could mistake the Ewokandtuck Trading Empire with some tuppeny-ha'penny, Penny ante dump in London, I will never know.
Also the love of my life is going to Thailand for 2 years. We had attempted to get her on a flight of the weekend of the 18th. Unfortunately because of the cost we could only get availability for the 25th. This wouldn't have been a problem if it had been an early morning flight, but it is at 22.00 and by the time I got back home loaded all the camping gear etc. and got there, it would be pretty much all over.
I'm sorry if I've let anybody down and I would love to be there. I really enjoyed the last two (Farm Yard and Oxford) and had looked forward to this one, Especially meeting some of the new guys and having new punters to ri..... sell to.
