I have a tap for it, but when I went to fit the cap I got already, its nohting like the one here

is this a screw in fit? if so anyone recomend a cheap filler cap?

anyone able to help with a hint towards what sort of age the tank might be to help me get the right cap

Cheers, thanks for that.
got my eye on some screw in pop up caps on ebay, but reckon that they would probably interfere with that sticking up vent/overflow pipe

perhaps take a dremel to it and cut it right down?????

GULP just seen the cost of the pop up filler, maybe I will put one of them green temporary ones in it LOL

sorry I have to confess I dont get brit chopper, no way of paying for it online :(

my last bike was BSH issue 280, black with blue flames lowrider.

this build is going to be hardtail, short wheelbase, 3 spoke wheels, USD front end, apes, sprung seat, no front guard, minimal rear, and the sporty tank as in the pics

everything possible to be hidden away.

its all here in my mind, the parts pile is growing fast

red powdercoating for frame, and lots of brass accenting, grips pegs etc, with sunk in .38 special nickel plated bullet cases

seen lots of chrome bits with brass sunk in, I wanted to do the reverse, and red and gold always go well.

got the colchester lathe all cleaned up today, previous owners were using it for phenolic, damned red dust everywhere

just got to wait for the sparky to come and wire it now. then the good times roll
