Hi guys,
I have a mate in blackpool thats started his first trike build, He has basic welding skills but is a little unsure of his own ability`s. Without going into too much detail, the poor sod had a bas***d of a time last year and this project was suppose to be a pick up for him and now due to what i believe is a lack of confidence its come to a standstill.
Anyways, what i`m hoping for is, someone in the north west that can spend a couple of hours with this guy, helping out with a bit of welding.
If you can help, please let me know.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Thank you for the welcome :). I`m a 42 year old male (definatly), Hailing from somerset. I have a couple of trikes, a kz1100 twin seat that i`ve had about 5 years now and a single seat gs650 thats not seen much tarmac lately. I have tinkered with builds in the past and produced 3 trikes to 90per cent finish, but because they have been built in my front garden they have produced a lot of interest and been sold on before i got them on the road. Now your gonna ask me why i cant help my mate, because as i said, i`m a couple of hundred miles away and work full time with varied shifts so arranging a trip north wouldnt be easy. Thats why i posted, i cant get there, but hopefully someone else can or already is.

Sorry mate 53 people have viewed your post, but Like me they are either nowhere near Blackpool or don't have the skills needed.

They are a good bunch on here and would help if they could!

You might try a local garage, maybe someone will be willing to spend a bit of their time, considering the circumstances.

Won't be cheap, but look up mobile welders in the Yellow Pages.

That said, some guy who hangs gates for a living isn't necessarily what you want either...

Someone who does on site plant repairs ought to have half a clue...

And MIG welding stuff outside isn't really a good idea.

I was thinking more of your mate's trike.

And the Big BMC trike needs getting under a roof so I can weld that up too. :D
