Can't believe it, theres been a horrible murder right next to my uni campus in Eastbourne where us girls walk all the time and go and sit at lunchtime to admire the sea views.
This woman in her 30's was raped, stabbed 16 times and set on fire. The place is crawling with police and none of us are going out alone until the maniac has been caught!!!!!

F'kin Hell....and ppl wonder why I won't let my missus cycle home from work or the kids play at the park unattended.

Lets hope they catch the bastard soon....but then another will probably pop out of the slime.

Take care Mrs R, if you or anyone is approched by anyone you don't know RUN LIKE F**K. even if he only wanted a light for his fag, it's better to look stupid to a stranger then be raped by one.

didn't see it on the news, not even local news, so either the police want a media silence for their own reasons (sometimes the killers like to see it in the papers and finding em is easier if it isn't mentioned) or it's not 'news worthy' cos we're all too used to crimes like this??

tis shocking when it's so near to you though :(

poor mrs R :(

you be careful hinny, don't go places alone, buy a huge dog, get a shotgun, go revisit the thread about protecting yourself (think taxi dave started it in cert 18 section)

thing is - men can never understand how scary it is being a girl - when getting a beating from a drunken yob isn't the worst thing that can happen to you if you go out alone in the dark....

*sad*

Latest News...

A bloke has been arrested for this - no doubt due to all the publicity in the paper.

Phew!!

It had better not be dismissed as only a "domestic" incident, then the bloke will only get 2 years because he was "provoked" by her. From previous cases I've seen provoked can mean any shouting argument or her questioning the size of his knob!
Murder is murder in my book whoever commits it :(

well I came very very close to killing my ex ,,,he tried to beat me up, but he ended up at casualty instead,,,,if i had of killed him would that be murder or self defence, and how do u prove it either way?

the term 'can of worms' springs to mind.....murder isnt always as simple as you think mrs R...

I know! I'm talking about clear cut cases I've heard of. For instance a bloke in Horsham where we used to live who had beat up his wife for years then stabbed her to death in front of her small children. He got 5 years as the judge reckoned he had been "provoked' by his wife's nagging. This so called nagging wasn't witnessed by anyone else, the guy just claimed this at the trial to get a lighter sentence. He was out in 4 years and won back custody of his children, the same children who witnessed him stab their mother to death - it just isn't right.
I've seen numerous such cases yet women very rarely or never get time off for "provocation" so think yourself lucky you didn't kill him or you may have been banged up for life!!!!!!
There are 2 very different rules for men and women who kill their spouses!

well,,,,nagging,,ffs,,,that aint an excuse, he could have just walked away from that...women who are beaten up continuously stay because they get really scared.....
5 years....shame i dont know his address,,,, and to get his kids back after that is pure crazyness,,,,jeez
