ok this week bt gets it.
i have a business line so i get repairs carried out a little quicker than a private line.

so last monday we had high winds which left me with an intermittent crackle on the phone line and a broadband connection that would only connect when it felt like it and then only for about 2 mins.

wednesday out came bt, away went bt .got a phone call from bt saying all is fine now. "if it's fine how come its still crackling badly and my internet is still the same"?
so they tested the line again and i'm told theres a fault.
"you mean the same fault as there was before"?

no this must be another fault sir!
"bollocks it's the same fault"

out they came on friday.
all fixed great!
untill saturday that was.

they have been out this morning while i was away at an mot.
i come back to a card from the engineer saying all is now well.

and it is, my broadband is now rock steady.
just one small problem though.
my bloody phone does'nt work at all now.

dude is your line fed via a pole or does it enter the building underground, if it is fed overheaed get the ****es to change the dropwire, almost certain to be the problem,
the line is one leg disconnected hence adsl but no phone

Hows this then.

I rang USPS (United Stated Postal Service) today. I explained that I was in the UK expecting a parcel that was running a few days late.

I was told that to track the parcel I would have to complete a claim/enquiry form at my local Post Office.

I explained again that I was calling from the UK.

The phone went quite for a few minutes and then he came back asking was state I was in??

I explained that I was in Grimsby, North East Lincs, UK.

He didn't know where the state of Grimsby was ?????

F'kin stupid yankie fucker

i had a similar experiance a while ago. i was ordering a part for the bike from a custom store in california, the guy (hello i'm anthony, how may i help you?) was very nice but i found myself having to speak really slowly, as you would to a rather simple ten year old.:)
