their do last year was better, they held it in the nice week of the summer, couple of good bands and a few cold ones was nice,, and the choice of customs was vairied, not just tractors with a paint job and a few bolt on goodies, there wear some nice harley's there, some nice feature bikes, but by the sum of it most of it was just a PR session to promote their dealership, shame could of been a good start to a good do......
By the way, i'm not just some bitter old moaner on a ped,i ride a harley, and a streetfighter, and ride all year on both, just for the doubters out there.......
by the way, the red sporty is my bro's , he'l be well chuffed that some one thought it goodenough to put on their site,, cheers creature, it will make his day.............................. :D

Bearing in mind it was a show organised by the local Harley-Davidson dealership... they made the error of letting the public vote.
Best Of Show (and a grand in cash) went to....
.... roll of drums....
bit of suspense...
.....
Paul Humphreys' Yamaha V-Max streetfighter!!!
Laugh? Of course we did!

How the hell do you street fighter a V-Max, put a set of renthals on and a paint job???
Never saw it of course and I'm sure it looked very nice, so dont shout at me
Just it seems everyone and the ships cat seem to have "street fighters" and often they are bikes that are just bikes that have never had fairings as standard so do the above and hey presto!! they are now "street fighters"
Mind you I much much prefer street fighters to overdone V-twin chops *yawn* one of the reasons I like stevies chop so much, nice clean unfussy twin (sorry single :D )
How the hell do you street fighter a V-Max, put a set of renthals on and a paint job???
Ah, Mr H's V-Max is a bit more than a V-Max with a set of Renthals and a paint job... :D This is the short spec sheet for the bike:

Ok, Blue and very nice it sounds too.
So why does that make it a street fighter????
Its a modified V-max albeit done very well ............ not a street fighter, which is the point I was making.
To me, a street fighter is a bike that normally has plastic, if its a bike that is normally naked, and I include bandits in this too, tho I will probably get shot down for this, it becomes a modified bandit, zephyr, hornet, etc etc not a streetfighter
I'm not knocking bandits etc, tho I do think to make one different these days is very difficult. I'm proably gonna get some stick for this, but I would be interested in other peoples opinions. :)
Ok, Blue and very nice it sounds too.
So why does that make it a street fighter????
Dunno. I spend all my time stopping the Streetfighters pikies stealing my sweeties and pens...

i only stayed there about 1/2 hour and the v max really did stand out i wouldn't of described it as a streetfighter though more of a beautifully done up v max

please. no. please.
Dont start the 'what is a streetfighter' debate!
Its been featured in fighters and has won numerous other show titles as best streetfighter. Most people think it is a streetfighter. You dont have to. Okay.
