You'll need it at the next forum do Jonny. You can do a nice little number called "Show me the way to go home", cos we all know that if someone doesn't show you, you'll never find your own fucking way. :D :D :D

I have been a piano mover for 25 years.
Depending on what part of the country you live in, your exterior wall may not change much in temperature, so it would not affect the piano to be on an outside wall. Home insulation is much better today than it was when these rules of thumb were compiled.
A piano will not crash through a floor that meets the most rudimentary building codes. A heavy upright piano is no heavier than four or five big guys standing together, and we never see groups of people crashing through floors.
Decks are another story. Building codes treat decks differently from inside floors, and it is easily possible to damage a deck, especially by moving a piano on its own casters. The piano won't crash completely through, but it can break one or more planks.
there ya go..

also, if you dont get a tail lift, an old trick is to lay an old blanket in back of van, tip piano on its back, then push into van, using blanket as a "glide aid" ;)

Would that be a perfect fifth?
Me, I plead the minor third.
are you sure? you could hold out for a diminished seventh.......
Jonnyfp
25-01-2005, 04:02 PM
Which could be the subdominance of a 7th.
saxman
25-01-2005, 08:16 PM
