It did snow.....very finely here for a few minutes, but nothing since.......phew!

had a bit of snow here cos i had to ride home in it bloody horrible did not settle tho when it does i will get the sledge out (its made of scaffold poles suitably bent and is bloody heavy goes well tho)

snow here in north yorkshire yyayayayay real snow even settling an all :)
sorry, am canadian and it just is not winter without snow :D am hoping it stays for a few days at least :rolleyes:

daft thing is my sister ( oh yes theres more of us ) going by train to manchester to see brother ( younger not twin) last week
was taken off train due to snow and put onto a coach...

dont you love how snow stopps all here in uk

no spare lol i want it alllllllllllll :D i drive a 4x4 when not on bike drives me nuts towing everyone out, stupid how ppl cant drive in a whole inch of snow here :cool:

I grew up in a village in Worcestershire, the snow there wasnt particularly bad but after a snowfall I had to wait for the snowplough to go thru before going out to catch the school bus - I don't remember ever missing a days school becos of the snow.

When I moved to Dorset it made me laff - a few flakes start coming down and all the mums are asking each other "Should we fetch the kids home from school?"

Wasn't till I'd lived here a year or two I realised that a)the snow is such a rare occurrence in this part of Dorset that no-one knows how to behave when it happens and b) they're right to panic cos it happens so rarely that the council has no equipment to deal with snow - it would lie idle for years and not work when it was finally needed!
The last time we had actual snowdrifts and people couldn't travel was about 26 years ago! I remember cos we went to a party about 9 miles away and couldnt get back for 3 days!
