Do you have a favourite silly rally game?
I used to enjoy wheelbarrow joulsting, very funny, a little dangerous, and very, very silly! :D

Yes, I like to hide in hedges with a pea shooter and try and get teenage French students as they go past. Seaford is inundated with the buggers from our twin town Merde-on-sea!!!!

the 3Bs had a 'find the beer in the haystack' game which was funny

years ago daft s0ds would hang onto back of bikes while riders drag them along to see who can hang on the longest

duh

I reckon most ralies don't bother enough with silly games

would like to see more

what about that age old favourite where lotsa men hide behind a screen wif only their bare feet showing, and their women have to pick which one is their man by recognising his feet?

well, ok, the version I saw on that cr@p TV show didn't use bare feet..... but you get the picture

:confused:Hmmm, not sure I would wan't to go near my man's feet after being sometime at a rally. let alone let any other woman suffer. It's bad enough having to climb in our double sleeping bag with them

A few of us go to rallies riding Cossack outfits. If it was still winter, cheapo plastic sledges were easy to come by and they would be tied behind the outfits for brave(gullible) folk to sit in and have races round the park. The only thing I can compare it with is the tractor inner tubes, towed behind speedboats in Majorca and suchlike.Piece of p**s in a straight line :D but scary round a corner!! No-one ever got hurt on account of the snow.
One rally virgin was gobbing off about how folk couldn't get it right and manage to stay on so I took him on an even-wider lap which meant he swung out into a small shallow pond at the edge of the field. My co-pilot let the rope go as he entered the water and Mr Rally Virgin belted across the pond, being soaked through by the HUGE bow-wave!! He later said that, even though it was freezing,it was the best laugh he'd had in years! He said he was dreading getting the R.V. treatment and thought he'd be picking baked beans out of his butt-crack for days afterwards. :o
Most games are good crack but one of the best is when you spin round with your head pointing skywards several times then have to run, carrying a tray of drinks to the finish line. No matter how many times you see it,it's still funny.

One of my fave rallies for silly games is the arse in the grass rally - the how many people can you get on a bike and ride off game and riding with the pillion carrying a big bowl of water is especially funny as the riders got covered.

We do the plastic sleds tied behind bikes as well as the beer/haystack bundle and also the 4 man to a sack race (very silly - uses skip bags) as well as moped mayhem.

With all that excitement on the go how could you not come to the Soggy Moggy !

(anything for a cheap plug!)

Surely there must be more silly games out there in rally world?
O.k, If your having trouble because you never really had a favourite,
then imagine if you had your own fantasy rally,
What would you organise in the way of silly games? ;)

the problem these days is getting people to enter the silly games - most are content to sit on the sidelines................. altho must admit last weekend only problem we had getting teams for was the van pull only 1 women & 1 mens team......

funnily enough the women won !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The one I find very amusing is where they have about 5 peeps lined up in a row , they have to drink a pint of beer quickly and then swivel round a pole (head down on hands) about 10 times and then TRY and race straight ahead to the next pole, this of course doesn't happen as they vear off towards the crowds instead, lmfao, entertainment at its best :D

We like the tow a sledge idea, would be cool on bikes or trikes, hope a few rally organisers are reading.Games are getting to borin these days, years ago used to get bikes lot more involved with "slow ridin" & one where you rider rode under a rope with a sausage hanging off,& the passenger had to bite the bigist piece off,fun if coated with mustard first! Do i sound as old as i feel? toots&purple :o

I love these we plan them for nearly 6 months before our rally so that we have time to make them even more fun. Last year we did Dwarf throwing which would have been even more funny if the wind hadn't dropped. We always do the pillion bundle(hunting for beer in straw)as we find peeps will take part as it involves free beer (and of which i won 2 years ago at the Condom rally). Bungee pull another funny one, Dizzy sticks only works if you have people that have never done it before. One of the most disgusting ones this year has to be the one we did at the Arse in the grass this year Take of your sock place over said can of beer every one passes their can to the left first one to drink it wins. and we had 11 people take part. oh well you do get some fools out there.

:confused:Where do you get the dwarfs from? Surely not real Drawf people, am I being gullible? The only other dwarf I can think of is Drawf rabbits, but I doubt people would be cruel enough to throw 'lil wabbits, 'lil people maybe, but not fluffy 'lil wabbits????

Not enough rallies do stuff during the day, so I tend to wander around a bit bored. Especially the smaller ones, you can only look at the stalls so many times, and I don't want to start drinking too early.

3Bs had a kids entertainer, and a few of the adults joined in the uggling, plate spinning etc. Passed the time.

More games at rallies! I'll join in if I'm there.

Dizzy sticks is funny - I like bike stuff too - balancing on a trials bike (I thought I was great @ 7 seconds until some trials rider did about 30!!) back wheel changes, slow riding... but nothing that involves removing my boots..!

For the 2nd Swamp Donkey, we are looking at holding a creche for the young ones, junior disco, face painting, in a bid to keep the younger ones entertained at least for part of the day.

We allowed the kids to join in the silly games this year ( except the van pull) and they seemed to njoy it, indeed the best tug of war pulls were buy the kids !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortuantly we may have to charge a small fee for the above, but then again nowts set in staone at the moment.

Very few people bothered to fill in the questionare sheet we put in the rally package, but those that did there were some good ideas that we are hoping to act on - maybe not all for next year......

The Dwarf was an inflatable man in a police outfit connected to an inflatable police bike. We did try to get real dwarfs to go down the bungee run but had to cancel the idea in case someone complained from human rights, but we had manage to find a few that were willing to take part, it could have been funnier though.

personal favourites are dizzy sticks and the running to get a beer from a chair while tied to a tree with a large bungee or some inner tubes, that can make for some fun, and we had a tug of war at the tilbury fort some years ago, nothing like a sheer drop and a lot of muddy water to make people pull very hard

Don't know what Shade was doing at the Pissed Indian, but he missed:-

For the Kids - The Fun Bus and The Kent Circus School

For the big kids:- Frozen T-shirt, Dizzy Sticks, Lancaster Bomber, Parallel plank walking and a few others, but I don't usually get to see Sat afternoon coz it is my sleep time.

Games with moving machinery are a big no-no for HSE and Insurance reasons.

However, one of my favourites was at the Soggy Moggy,
where we played "Slip the smoke pellet through the knot-hole at the back of the commentary box"
Oh how we laughed as smoke billowed out of the box and the commentator pulled all the electrics out looking for the fault, and then couldn't remember where it all plugged back in. :D

In the USA they play real games with Shoulder held Rocket Launchers fired into the everglades. :D

At the Crazy Diamonds tossing the slipper rally, they did a 'Doughnut Russian Roulette' which had trays full of Jam doughnuts, but some had the Jamaican pepper sauce added and the only way to find out which one was to eat them, fecking hilarious when someone got one......

I meant during our Rally, coz I am usually on duty for all the previous evening and half the night and due back on duty early evening. Not forgetting the 10 days on site during the build and clear up.

And at the Pissed Indian NO member or the working team is allowed ANY alcohol (or alternative medication) all weekend.
Anyone found doing so will be ejected from the site, and, if they are a club member they are instantly ejected from the club as well.

Like has already been said, the problem is getting people to participate.

We have cut right down on the games because of this.
Every year we have had the sword pull, but last year gave up as no one wanted to enter......the only time you can be sure of someone entering is the night time games, eating , drinking etc.

and what has happened to the wet t shirt competitions....we even gave up trying with this as no women could be persuaded to enter. The free for all fire eating went down well though......I am surprised we didnt burn down the marquee

Wow, I'm suprised this post of mine is still kickin' about, I'd forgotten all about it.

The funniest silly game I witnessed last year was at the Travellers MCC Rawhide Rally.
Grown Adults running around to kiddies cartoon music playing Musical Chairs!!!!
It was brilliant with chairs collapsing and peeps falling all over each other!!
I hope they have it this year, 'cus I wanna play, I do, I do, I do....! :D
