the original cast iron village signs of "llanddewi brefi" have been nicked and sold on ebay.
police are appealing for witnesses' who may have seen a black taxi cab with midland plates on it. also on the same night a number of local sheep some of them less than 12 months old were found in a very distressed state, along with some exceedingly small condoms. police believe there is a connection between this and the sign theft.

the villagers of llanddewi brefi now want the council to provide some new name signs, possibly signed by the cast of little britain to sell by auction. the proceeds to go to the asian appeal
