A Muso's Tale - Dedicated (along with a t-shirt to come I think) to Jonnyfp

We used to have a yellow t-shirt that we took on tour with us around Europe when I was with Kane & Co. The t-shirt was awarded to the person of the day who made the biggest fcuk up with the map reading.
I had been driving an' navigating since we had left Barcelona partnerin' Clive, our guitarist (an' he's anutha story). We had worked it between us thru the night, stoppin' a few times for coffee an' a cig' along the way (findin' ourselves at 5am drinkin' coffee lookin' down, over St Tropez was pretty cool).
We made it thru until we reached a few towns beyond the Italian border an' after a mealstop we kipped out in the sleepin' compartment at the back of the IVECO whilst the keyboard player, the drummer an' the singer had the day shift, until the van ground to a halt some two hours later. I could hear talk from the cab area an' looked down towards the front to see how big the traffic jam was ahead on the autostrada .... only to be met with the sight of folks crossin' the road in front of us, we were in some small town.
It was at this point that I presented Mike, our drummer, with the yellow t-shirt emblazoned in green with ...

I AM CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS' DEMENTED HALF-BROTHER

Mission accomplished an' the van back on the autostrada I returned to my pit.

I really must get all these tales down one day. ;)

The photo below is the mighty Hotel IVECO, parked up at a real hotel for the night in Wisla, Poland on a later tour (an' there's prolly a story or two there an' all).
