hi MOW,
seems like you need to look no further than the hallowed pags of 100% back copies.
firstly there was done in trike tek by alix(?).
secondly, niks trike had posh nancy boy suspension an all.:D
if your too tight to splash out for relevant back copies ,shame on you.Could see what I've got if you wanna pm me your email addy.

You could take a look at the trike I built.

The webpage is a bit amateurish as I'm hopeless with a computer but it gives you an idea. It took me a while but thanks to this forum and Alik Windrush's trike tech articles I got there in the end. Been on the road now for four years with no probs whatsoever.
My mate has just purchased a cage, wishbones and hub carriers to accept a sierra diff and shafts from Casarva and I think it was £900ish including polybushes and nuts and bolts so if you want to save a shit load of work this might be the way to go.They are advertised in Trike magazine.

Thanks for all the info guys, nice trike by the way teasy,i remember when you first started building it,it wasnt on ebay a few weeks ago was it??
i think casarva's rear end kit is a bit pricey especially for a basic diff cradle and wishbones....building all of the cradle and wishbones isnt a problem,i just wanted to sound out the idea of running that setup with a reliant engine and box,as i dont think ive seen one before...
anyway,thanks again fellas:thumbu:

Watch the gear ratio's on the sierra when using reliant running gear, you could end up doing 30mph uphill

my trike is irs with sierra diff.............watch ratios though 3.16, , 3.6 and 3.91.............do your sums for tyre rolling radius before you spend money....3.16 diff hard to get and are quite expensive...
there are pictures of mine on here somewhere..........buy hub carierrs from kit car comapany make the rest ya self

thanks for the replies, i had been told running a sierra reliant setup could prove problems with getting the gearing right
anybody any ideas of what diff to use that is easily available and wont give gearing troubles?
thanks

You may struggle to find a diff that suits the piggie engine, most suitable ratio's are in axle format (fiat panda, rascal van etc)
try to find a sierra with as near gearing to the reliant axle, then go for 13" wheels with low profile tyres, that will help.
