dunno wether anyone saw this proggy last night ,may not have bin shown all regions.
featured the a537 cat and fiddle route(brilliant stretch of tarmac if ya dont know it) a bit dodgy here and there as shown by poster in pub at top,shows where accidents have happened over the years etc.

featured 2 people one on a bike one in a lotus with passenger

police going up ,lotus coming down he lost it momentarily on bend and went over double white line could have been bad specialy into oncoming copper,
he got a telling of and sent on his way

bike on the other hand was being followed two vehicles behind,
overtook a car on a left hander seemed to overtake before doubles started
but still crossed em ,he got a telling of, points and fine.

which is worse crossing em under or outa control both a no no i know
thought the guy in car should have got points

The copper made it quite clear in the program that the car had just slid onto the Double Whites as a result of entering the corner too quickly, and had not crossed over the line into the oncoming lane.
He stated that if the car had crossed the lines - particularly as a deliberate action then he would have booked him.

On the other hand, the bike delibrately crossed the Double Whites into the oncoming lane on a hairpin left hander in order to overtake. This was in a position where the bike had neither a forward view, nor any awareness that a marked Police car was 2 vehicles behind him and filming.

He also then took into account the attitude of the drivers - the car driver appologised and admitted his driving mistake, the biker couldn't see what he had done wrong and "backchatted" the copper.

it is used by bikers and car drivers alike as a race track and both have accidents thats why there is a heavy police precence and the speed limit is now reduced to 50 mph
the biker only backchatted after being ticketed
anyway i didnt totally agree with it

at the end of the day, mirrors would have saved him 3 points - his missus woulda been complaining if he got took out.

Yes i have been booked before, but i have also got away with it a few times too for different stuff - swings and roundabouts an all that

to be fair, the guy on the bike only lost it when he was ticketed - anyone would do the same

But - didnt the way they all talk that same bull**** police language sound like bollox, they are a unit not humans ffs, he contravened this and exceeded that...

But for me, the guy in tights, high heels and a thong won the day - shame he wasnt on a bike................

i think the biker got the 3 points for his attitude, saying there was nothing wrong with what he done was a big mistake tis as bad as running a red in the eyes of the law.

the cops seemed to ignore the bit about him flashing at the girls in the car though, more double standards?

He got done for being drunk & disorderly (and presumably being in his cab wif the keys, ok so it's a lorry and he was prob gonna sleep it off - but rules are rules)

but not even a mention of the sexual offence *huff*


I also saw the bit where the kids ran off the road - new driver, worn tyres, lucky they weren't all hurt, no drink or chav behaviour at all. Have to say I thought the way that copper dealt with the driver (giving him a fatherly talk about safer driving) was extremely well handled, see, some traffic cops are ok.

Mind you, who'd want to be married to Rose? What a gal..! jeez

Personaly I`ve never met a decent traffic cop yet! Yeah i saw siad program, missed some of it including the lotus bit so cant comment but did see the bike bit
I dont think he had a choice with the biker overtaking on the bend on double full white lines, cos firstly it on telly and the guy was banged to rights so the cop couldnt let him off or anything cos he would have got his arsed kicked when his super watched said program, fixed penalty. tell ya the truth i thought he was gonna go after the following biker cos he nearly done it too but he didnt.

There are several exceptions, one being the traffic cop who attended the scene of my accident and busted the w@nker who knocked me off me bike. He visited me in hospital too, once to get a statement from me as to what I remembered, and once just cos he wanted to see how I was doing cos when he wasnt being a traffic cop, he spent his leisure time riding his bike.

9 times out of 10, if you are civil to the plod when pulled over and treat them with a bit of respect, they will let you off with a caution and a producer. Most of the time they cant be arsed with the paperwork and would rather use the time on positive police work. Treat them like crap and you will get a fine. Simple.
