Hi,
Got some aggro again with this shed of a bike.
The clutch lever microswitch ( stops engine starting in gear ) is acting up, so I want to by-pass it. There are 3 wires coming from loom to switch---one is earth, the other two go back to a diode. Not being electrically minded, can anyone tell me if I join the two wires from diode, will it bugger up the diode.???
Sometimes the bike starts, others it seems that the starter button is dead, untill the clutch microswitch wires are pulled about, then the pig starts.
Getting pissed off with this bike now.  :thumbd:

hiya m8,
yeah just link the two,and remove the diode...dont worry bout the earth as itll be defunct.
the diode is only there to let current flow one way so as your linking them(ie bypassing them)it aint needed....,unless you have a cdi in wich case leave it on...:thumbsu::thumbsu:

if you don't want to bugger about with the wiring,as above-best bet really chuck all crap out. Sidestand cutout should be thrown the furthest ,crap idea ,poorly executed.

I must have one as I never keep any of them.If you want one let me know,:D price of a pint will do it .
