A tip given to me by a bloke at the Ace of Spades rally last weekend when I was struggling to get the puck from under the sidestand.......
Drill a hole in it,tie on a length of string, hook string to bars............
Why the hell didn't I think of that?:D

Most have a hole already and I used one of those Felxi plastic key chains. That way you can wrap it round the front brake lever/throttle and you won't forget it....:thumbsu:

easy solution, get to rally, first thing you do is down a tinnie of beer, squash can and hey presto, a side stand plate, if you forget it, then theres no panic:thumbsu:

Fit an extra wheel, off to one side, use said extra wheel for beer crates, food etc. Works a treat, things not fallen over since:thumbsu:

i am fuckin dangerous enough on 2, 4 and 6 wheels.....so to suddenly go on a odd number might be asking for trouble:thumbsu:

im lost here grass and bikes mmmmmmm sound more like pull wheelies and find out what places i can take the ty rather than park it up.
went to a bike meet in the newforest ended up spending most of the day getting covered in mud
good job the landlord was a decent chap as i wasnt very clean when the meet started
and sid stands nah lean the handle bars against someones car or van makes the bike lighter with no stands.
sorry i always think at a tangent

Obvious - errm I've had one in me jacket pocket like that for the last 20 years...

Possibly prone to problems, that one - e.g. if you make a habit of leaning your handlebars on random vans / cars, then expect your bike to be on its side when you come back to it. In the middle of a busy main road.

I have a sidestand, but don't use it as it is three and a half foot long. I use the main rear stand and if the stand sinks it sits on the rear wheel..... :thumbsu:

Okay the drilling a hole in the side stand to fix your puck on to it may be a non-starter, so how about you cut a bit of steel to be puck sized and then weld it on the base of the side stand? Pull up on the field, put your stand down and your bike doesn't fall over!:thumbsu:

Wot fettl Dougie me auld jockinese bro.......now then, I used one of then flexy springy jobbies with a caribina hooked on to it and the flexy springy thing with a split ring hooked over me brake lever a treat.
However, now I have a square plate of 5 mill mild steel about 4 inches square which always sits in me pannier with me waterproof camo jacket n day glo spakka pants for when its a bit inclement like. The plate makes champion toast on me hexi stove as well (if ya don't mind a bit of cack on your toast, and the occasional likkle worm (protein y' see).........plenty of jam or silver shred marmalade..........feckin champion me bro!!!!............
Respect, peace n love me brother................
