Fine On My Own
Crazy Now an' Then
both by Cactus Jack. Oh! they'll be mine then. If you've got a copy of the album Ain't Nothing Like .... PRESSURE have a listen to the end of Fine On My Own an' you'll hear my Bonnie roarin' off into the distance ..... well, the other side of the carpark actually when we recorded it :D
Then there's
Eighteen Months Five Days Sixteen Hours ..... an' The Devil's Deal from my solo stuff now.
I'm doin' a gig with Dumpy next Saturday nite ... must check where 'cos it was a late bookin' an' I don't seem to have details for ya. But I'll be at the Jugsters MCC Frozen Bladder Rally next Friday nite. Somewhere around Burton on Trent.

Who did the piss take from Angelo ?
Long ago, outside a chip shop in wolvemstow,
Stood a young biker boy, Greasy Joe.
Put on his helmet and said "lets go!"
He was keen, shot down the highway like Barry Sheene
Doin' his best to look very mean......
Then he met Ann on her new machine...
Sang to the Angelo theme

It was the Barron Knights may they rot in hell!

STEViE
17-01-2005, 09:35 AM
Hey wegit, I can really show my age 'cos I remember them doin' a pi55take of a Sandie Shaw song.
Each place I go there is no work for me
Each place I go they say no vacancy
I got the blues now
I can't afford no shoes
As I walk the city streets ... the blisters come.
Now THAT is feckin' old.
[:{)>
an' don't forget
Where are you all coming from
We're from Dartmoor on the run :D
There's been much worse - Goombay dance band an' Joe Dolce to say the least but what you need to remember or understand is that when they first came out there was a lot of comedy records on the radio ..
My Boomerang Won't Come Back - Charlie Drake
Hole In The Ground - Bernard Cribbins
The mighty 'Ying Tong Song' - The Goons
An' any number of Rolf Harris tunes ..... an' prolly loads that I can't remember right now
It's the time that it was. I don't reckon it worked in their later years either but I wouldn't consign them to rot in hell. That's reserved for the little b'stards who nicked my car last week

How does David Dundas ( blue jeans from the advert and the queen one) make it as a motorcycle song?
Yeah, really??????? That sounds like a yuppy wannabe anthem if you ask me. Chrome-laden Harley riders in happy twee coupled pairs with matching handtooled luggage and down-home quilted personal back patches on their pristine denim cut-offs most likely have it as "their song" whilst trundling down the highways and byways of Sarf Dakota, wearing matching doo-rags and those silly "german-style" helmets so beloved of American dorkish types. Yeuk!
But now I have been having that song on the brain for two days, since I read your post. Bastard Ewok type person  :D :D
I like "Riders on the Storm", which I am not so sure is technically a motorbike song, but its very evocative and one of my favourite songs, I find myself singing it (okay, strangling it, LOl) often when out on the bike.

How does David Dundas ( blue jeans from the advert and the queen one) make it as a motorcycle song?
Middle eight of Blue Jeans Song - (Specially for Hellkat) goes:
"You and me we'll go motorbike riding in the sun and the wind and the ray-e- ayn
I've got money in my pocket, a tiger in my tank, and I'm king of the road agayen!"
3rd verse (I think) of Queen song goes:
"Gotta be cool, hitchike, take a long ride on a motorbike"
I know loose connections, but they are stuck in peoples heads (specially Hellkat)
Sorry :(

My fave song, which is technically not a bike song either is Brothers-in-arms by Dire Straits
Mellow, Moody and all about the struggle to survive and being Brothers (and Sisters) together in a common cause. I want for my funeral when the time comes.....
