Save up or leave it.

No honestly, you stand a good chance of it looking a right pigs ear if you have no idea, if i were in your shoes i would wait till i had the cash or just be happy with the candy red. or you could just sattin black it straight off as you would probly end up doing that in the end any how... :D I dare say many on here would love that just as much if not more...

But, for some thing a little more constructive here is my advice on how to get a reasonable paint job in your shed.....

You will need...
Compressor £150 (barely sutible but should be ok)
Air line £30
Reasonable spray gun £70
Mask £20
Laytex gloves £5
Spray suit £10
Some form of extractor

Materials:
Thinners £15
Gun wash £8
paint strainers £5
2:1 mixing stick £7
Tac Rags £12
Panel wipe £13
Big roll of blue tissue £15 pack (not for your arse)
High build Primer £15ish
Activator if 2k primer used £10
1/2 liter Pearl white base coat £16+Vat
1/2 liter of white ground coat £16+Vat
1/2 liter candy red £20+ Vat
1/2 liter gold ground coat for candy red £16+vat
2k lacquer £15+Vat (minimum)
2k activator £12+Vat

So far we are up to £500, then the fun begins, unfortunately i havnt time to type out the whole process but i think you get the idea... :thumbu:

I do,and I thought you'd answer. Thanks. Will have to save up,methinks.
have done spraying vehicles but that was 25yrs ago and have done houses (no comparison,I know)a few yrs back. Done the odd tank too,but very basic.Off the top of your head (I know you're gonna hate me for asking this) but what,a very roundabout figure, would I be looking at for someone like yourself to do it? Just so I can start saving some figures up(after the kids get their hols:cool:)?
Would appreciate the advice as def NOT going to do it myself:rolleyes::D

At a guess matching fancy paint will be a bastard easier to paint the lot.Least it'd look the same in the sun:D

Matching non-fancy paint can have an air of illegitimacy about it at times....
