Me 21 yr old nephew, Mini Me, just bought his first proper road bike, been turning up for ages on different dirt type things, never knew when it were a new 'un i dint, they all look the bastard same to me.
Been on about wanting a chop or summat for a couple months now, but all the half decent chop-able jappers were silly priced bags o' shyte.
Asked about and found a Sportster for £2000 and telled the youth to hang on to it and give us a couple weeks, so he flogged one of his Landrover off-roaders and coughed up for it.
Thought it were an 883 when i told him about it, turns out its a 1990 1200, another nice surprise to find it got Sreaming Eagle ignition module already fitted, cuts out the rev limiter.
Whipped the front end out, stuck it in me van and got it home to his on Monday, new plugs, jump leads to van, and it cracked up like a good 'un.
Spoke to him yesterday, weren't coming gym cos he was working on his bike, stripped the tanks and guards off, fitted the king sportster tank we got with it, hacked the rear guard down, and taking 'em to work to get sprayed up gloss black.
Good lad.
Only passed his bike test about 6 months ago.

That's a good start for a young lad. I had my first real custom bike at 21. There's no looking back from there :)

Excellent result finding its a 1200. Wish I still had my Evo Sportster.

Hope he enjoys it. Good to see new blood coming into the scene. Nice one Taff.
