I will need to get a pr. of tyres on my GT 750 Kwak soon. To replace Metzeler Laser one on front and crappy nearly new rear.
As we have so much rain here, they will need to be good sticky ones :).
My Z550 Ltd has Arrowmax as a pair, really good in wet,--but what suits one bike may not suit another.
Can I count on your collective vast experiences to recomend suitable tyres.:D:D

Metzelers or Michelin Macadams suit Kwaks excellently. If you have trouble getting a 19 inch front tyre, the 18 inch wheel from the Gpz range drops straight in. This will of course give you more choice when getting new tyres.

Grrrrrrrrrr......... grumble, grumble.............

If I`m off tommorrow, then it looks like I`ll be buying a new front tyre for the triumph in preperation for the holidays, probably another BT020.
but once both are ready next time, probably a pair of road pilots will be going on

I've had BT021's for a number of years (they're slightly less sporty and more touring? - had the grip and I had the confidence to grind the pegs and centre stand on my old zr-7, but I prefer the Dunlop D220ST I've had on there recently. I didn't get on with the Bridgestones in the wet so well, and the D220's feel every bit as grippy in the dry. I think you've got to be some kind of Kenny Roberts or something to really push a decent modern tyre these days.

oh, can I recomend somewhere on here? Nik, delete this if it's not allowed :)

my local bike shop recomended www.fwr.co.uk - used them twice now with no probs. They mail the tyres to the bike shop and I bring them a wheel and they fit it. Much cheaper than I can get in any local bike shops. If you are local to FWR they can fit them very cheaply for you too, but I can't comment on that.

If anyone here is after having tyres fitted down the middle of Wales (Newtown) area I'd better say the main motorcycle shop for the area overcharge a bit but more inportantly have fitted tyres wrongly, (try one inner tube twisted thru 360 degrees on itself, one valve held in with an old waser cos they didn't have the right valve in stock, they charged extra for this service! and one spoked wheel rebilt plus tyred witout a rim tape:mad:)not just once but at least 3 times that I know of. I now go to a car place where they fit tyres for free while you wait, only downside you've gotta order the tyre in advance.
