I am no Nazi and definately not a supporter of the royal family. As my monicker (REDROBBIE) sugests I'm one of those "enemy within commies" however it is totaly refreshing to see the Royals goin back to their traditional roots by giving us another idiot bastard prince. He epitomises the chinless aristocracy like many of his predecessers before him an I for one think that the dope smoking, buffalo shooting, anti semetic buffoon is worth every penny of our taxes and would, if i could, vote him in as our next king.

FFS! It was a fancy dress party! I went to one once dressed as Freddie Starr's Adolf! No one complained that I went in bad taste, well not in the politically correct sense.

The guy is only 20 years old! So he's a Prince! His Dad and Grandad have dropped bigger gaffs over the years!

Who gives a fvck? I don't!

The issue here is not about what he wore or any superficial meaning attatched to it. Its about who he is and what he has realy done. the clothes are of little importance.
Next time your in biker company ,or even this may be you, notice what emblems are sharing the same space. You will see a swastika, the symble of National socialism. A party that represented social order. Along side that you will see an anarchy symbol that represents social dis-order. Further to this will be a CND or a peace symbol. The individual can not represent all these parradoxical messages! Rather they are adournments or trinkets.
And thats ok. Its a form of rebelion against the establishment that in itself forms an identifyable uniform. That raises the question of the authenticity of the individual who conforms to the identity of his\her pears. It hardly constitutes free thinking. You do not rebel into somthing. As out of destruction comes creation.

This is where I actualy admire the bastard prince. He is the establishment.
He was advised not to wear that costume. He had some pleb on his staff go out and hire\buy it for him. Evey one involved with the prince knew what he was doing and made him aware of the consequences. But still he did it.Yes because he's young.Yes because he found it amusing. But most of all because he was told not to do it.Thats rebelion. That is how you put 2 fingers up to the establishment and its a bit more honest than cheating at your school exams.

Harry keep it up kid. Who knows we might even see you at this years Bulldog.

I was quite suprised the front page headline wasn't something along these lines.........
DESPITE THE FACT THAT INTERNATIONAL AID AND MONEY RAISED FOR THE TSUNAMI VICTIMS IS NOT GETTING THROUGH TO ITS INTENDED TARGETS, AND PEOPLE ARE STILL DYING NOW FROM SECONDARY EFFECTS OF THE DISASTER,HERE IS SOME REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT A PRIVATE FANCY DRESS PARTY THAT THE PUBLIC WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN ABOUT IF IT WASN'T FOR US, AND A 20 YEAR OLD YOUTH ACTUALLY HAVING A LAUGH WITH HIS MATES........meanwhile common people have died in severe storms in the north.

The whole Harry thing is a load of wank. The press made a similar fuss about his father drinking a bottle of cherry brandy around the same age, if I recall (old enough to remember  ).

If we are going to keep making such a big deal about what a handful of inbred people with too much money are doing, we should be directing our efforts towards ensuring that we have a country to be proud of, or a government with which we can live, rather than a bunch of inbreeds who are only of any use these days in terms of tourist expenditure.

I truly truly hope he doesn't go to the Bulldog, LMFAO. That would be TOOOOOOOOO funny.

Side note:
Krammer, dear ... if I had been annoyed about the fat arse thing (which wasnt a direct dig at MY fat arse which is, indeed, a very fat arse), but HAD I been angry, I would have SHOUTED A LOT LIKE THIS AND SAID "FUCK" EVEN MORE.

I just say "fuck" a lot cos I can :D

I weren't cross, just thought I'd point out that us fat birds wear those sort of things cos we can, too. If it offends the eye of those who only think skinny birds with big tits, flat racks and blonde hair should be allowed out in the street, then too fucking bad.

There are plenty of my personal fan club (surprisingly varied in their own personal appearances, and all quite charmingly deranged) who are quite happy to see me in tight jeans/short skirts/low cut tops regardless of what even I think about my fat arse or kauri tree-stump legs. There's no accounting for taste.

Just as long as the monarchy don't start farting or scratching their bollocks, because that would just be outrageous....

I quite like the tradition of the monarchy meself but do they have a place in the modern world?

Didn't kings and queens used to rule years ago?

hellkat
14-01-2005, 11:57 AM
Personally, I think their only real modern day value is in the tourist dollar.

Pageantry pulls the crowds, but it doesn't justify the amount of column inches that are making the press barons as rich as the royals themselves.

There are better things to report on.

ah but the more interesting things don't sell the 'daily news rag'

people have worn swastika's for a long time, I remember seeing them in the 60's and people were generally offended cos of the war. But after the late 70's with TV shows like 'Allo Allo' these things were seen more as a humorous pish take.

Doro
14-01-2005, 12:16 PM
A couple of them decided to go a bit further and dress as rape victims,

how do you go dressed as a rape victim? Tear yer clothes? Get someone to punch yer a few times? slit yer throat? strangle yer to leave bruises? cry enough to make yer face red and puffy with mascara dripping? be afraid to go out?

yep, guess I'd find that very offensive

maybe it is irrartional to be offended by that - yet not offended by something like the Hitler thing - I don't know, humans are like that....

how many folk would have been offended if he'd been dressed as Harold Shipman, or Myra Hindley?

hmmmmmmmm

I can't understand how 'bikers' (see: Rebels on Motorcycles) can be offended at someone doing something naughty. Then again, most bikers nowadays (certainly internet based hippies) seem to be all lovey dovey PC morons.

He wore a mock up of a German uniform (not sure if it was a Luftwaffe shirt, looks more like a DAK uniform - regardless the badly and incorrectly drawn Swastika band should not have been there as they did not wear them) He fcuked up, but so what? The press are so quick to jump on anything that sell papers, what's up, 150,000 dead old news now?

I have no love for Nazis, I have a deep interest in them, respect for their ideas, revulsion at some of their policies, but I would never wear a swastika. Likewise, I would never wear the emblem of a Red - they should all burn :D

Seriously though, how many of the symbol wearing among us have any real idea of where those symbols are born from and what they mean. Some but not many I would bet.

More to the point, how many people who see symbols being displayed by others, have any idea what they mean.

The Maltese cross has long been used by Bikers, how many of your average bikers these days, knows why that is, again few if any I reckon.

Trouble is that Symbols can invoke feelings which go far beyond reason, particularly those used by 'wrong-doers' but it's a bit narrow minded to think that just because someone uses a symbol as decoration, that they understand it's past, stand by the principles of those who used it and condone what it means to some people......why that would be like hating ALL Germans because of the war!

Aye, well I wear the following:

Celtic Cross: Originally a symbol of Celtic Gods, now a symbol of White Pride World Wide

Wolfstag - A Nordic Symbol

Red Rose - House of Lancaster - vanquishers of Yorkshire.

Run of Life - Nordic Symbol

Red Hand - Loony Bunch from NI

But at least I know what they are and where they come from.

BTW, the wearing of certain symbols in Germany is an arrestable offence - H would have been nicked for wearing a swastika.

buffoon is worth every penny of our taxes and would, if i could, vote him in as our next king.

but he takes none of our taxes... his family own half of england and make their money from all the crown property they own round here (berks) and elsewhere..

he does take taxes indirectly - he or his family gets paid by the govt (i.e. us) to do certain things.

Brown was very big in pre-war Germany, especially with the Brown Shirts and Hitler Youth. Hitlers Uniform was Generally brown, but German officers did have green uniforms or brown with green facings.
