What happend to "Pay as you Go" that you didn't have to "Top Up" with a certain amount each month with or loose your credit if you don't use it? (Can't see the point, may as well have contract).
Does anyone know if there are still any available?I just want to be able to 'top up' and use when I need to, not have to keep 'topped up' every month!

I got a couple of the free ones, the minimum top up is only if you want the freebies to keep going, i figure £10 a month for 300 free texts aint bad, and i still get my credit to go up as i don't talk on the phone too much, i gave up my orange contract cos it was costing me a bloody fortune and i wasn't using it enough to warrant that money each month. worth it if you want free text but no you can just put a tenner on and leave it as a pay as you go phone withouth texts included.

Blimey wotta waffle! :D

I've never had a prob with 02 at all. Ever.

Get reception almost everywhere, and my O2 contract phone works inside my flat when everyone else with orange or most of the other ones have to go outside and walk up and down in the front yard to make or take calls. My next door neighbours drive me mad, walking up and down the street all night, cos they have obviously got the other rubbish phone companies, but I am very content with O2.

I was with them for a year as contract, they buggered certain free services eg 500 free texts so many free media minutes and so on...and those offers where why i went with em, i found they where charging me for these 'free' services so like a pratt i gave them the benefit of the doubt...(could'nt be arsed to unlock me phone) and went with O2 pay as you go,

30 quid top up was bought so i could take advantage of the free offers only to find out that they'd locked my texts up so i had to use my credit up on actually talking to folk..lol.

Rung em up and they told me it was a problem with my handset, tried my mates O2 sim there was no prob, then tried my other mates orange sim and it worked.

So bollox to em, i bought an orange sim for 4 quid off the internet it came with a quids credit and 16 free piccy messages. 3p texts for 6 months too.
all with a handset that O2 said was knackered.
