Carol nash`s european accident and breakdown cover?
The so called added bit to their policies
I`m currently sorting my insurance renewal, and various other companies are quoting me figures of £100 less, but without european cover.
however after speaking to CN they`ve dropped their price by £42 for the same renewal spec. So is the european cover worth the extra £58 above the cheapest alternative provider?

How many times do you go abroad on your bike? How much would it cost to get your bike home in the case of a major breakdown / crash? I'm with CN and I go abroad two to three times a year and the free cover comes in handy just in case something does happen.
You pay your money and you make your choices. £58 just to be safe or £???? if the brown, smelly stuff hits the fan.

Having known someone who had to use CNs recovery after a prang in spain,
it was bloody good value and good service

I`ve just been trying to beat the bike insurance renewal to a pulp.
currently I`ve been quoted £261+ this inc european breakdown cover etc with CN
based upon FC insurance on a newish 1050 triumph, a few internet quotes get the lowest quote down to £151 (not inc european breakdown cover etc)
but using internet quotes doesn`t allow for the fact I have **yrs protected NCD, more than the webpages let you select, making the exact input of correct data difficult. but As a new business quote CN`s website quotes me a price of £220+ for the same policy as the original
But armed with several internet quotes and reference numbers for these quotes, I`ve phoned CN and asked them to re-quote the prices, and told em about their own website quoting the £220.
So after listening to their cheesey piped music for ages, they have now come back with a firm quotation offer of £219+ with exactly the same insurer, benefits, excesses etc as before. a saving of £42 ish. The woman at CN is obviously keen to get me to buy especially as she`ll be on some form of commission, so much so shes gonna try and ring me back later this afternoon.
So even with the added benefit of european breakdown cover etc, which I need because I`m riding to Faro for 3-4 weeks this year with the mad paddy from daventry. A renewal price roughly half way between the original re-quote, and a bargain basement price from another company does seem at face value ........fair ......... or is it?

usually after 5 years ncb it makes no difference to cost even if you had 30 years ncb
