My bike is much more viable than I imagined it would be...
with three weekends including this one, before our first rally I have to get my arse in gear! This reminds me of when we went to Belgium - working into the night before we set off.
Lights and indicators all work apart from the offside rear, which I put on Lou's bike as it needed it first :D Easy to fix that, seeing as I've got four brand new ones going spare (4 for a tenner!).
Back brake works (including the light), just needs pads (though the ones I've got already aren't too worn).
It turns over - nicely - thanks to the new battery off Dracken1 :D
My new seat looks good - it's even better than the first one, which again is on Lou's bike.
Things to sort out:
Fuel tank's full of crap - off to get some thin chain to stick inside and shake the tank about tomorrow.
Front brakes - Master cylinder is well nadgered I think - nothing's coming out of the caliper when I open the bleed nipple; also, the nearside front caliper needs extra work (either that or scrapping, as that's the one that's been playing up a lot over recent years).
Number plate's broken in three places - back to ebay (as it's a small'un)
Switch gear - my attempt at stitching three together turned into a bit of alphabetti spaghetti and the indicator switch doesn't work quite right but at least it works... (might get another one just in case though - £11 off a breaker I know).
Head gasket can wait a while, till I feel like doing it (doesn't look too bad, till you get out on the open road and your leg gets covered in oil!)!
Oh yeah, and the obvious t & t (that means everything has to be done in two).
Not that bad really, considering I've not ridden that bike since the october before I got my job in Lewes, and I've been there a year now :D (got my annual review on Friday at 3pm - hopefully should mean a payrise - crossed fingers!!)
