hey guys n gals
im gonna rant abit im affraid
ive recently been the victim of the most blatant and as far as i can see disgusting act of discrimination !!....so bad infact that it has taken me the best part of two days to process, im gonna give you a lil background on my situation just to set the scene as it were....so bare with me

im 25 yr old father of three i have a boy 9, and girl 8 and another lil guy who has just turned 2,... now my kids are awsome (yeah i know im bias) but really polite and inteligent and im told a credit to me wereever i take them, my lil girl is top or her class ,and my eldest is 2 yrs ahead on his maths ( not a trate he gets from me i must say)
when my partner had our youngest she got post natale depression wich with the help of a local comunity servis she has managed to overcome
because of our dealings with the comunity family help center we were informed that we are able to have 12 and a 1/2 hours child care a week, and as our lil guy had just turned 2 this was the ideal time to look into getting him a placement in one of the many local places that are available, as luck would have it there is one just at the end of our road that was perfect (or so i thought) , so with the advice of the family center i called them to make sure there were places and arranged a day to go take my lil guy down there and have a look around , the lady on the end of the phone was most helpfull and informed me of the times the groups ran and what we personaly were applicable for, so i hung up happy in the knowlage that all the paperwork was correct and that everything apart from my walkround and my written permission was sorted,....

i gotta admit that i was a lil excited myself as the eldest 2 while i consider them my own and to all intents and perposes im daddy ...are my partners from a previos relationship and i always felt id missed out on things like there first day at school ect ..(sounds silly but if you got kids you will know what i mean)
so early friday morning i get up early and spend the morning with my lil guy getting him dressed up and looking like the great lil kid he is , i call ahead to confirm my appointment and off we go , upon reaching the nursery i press the buzzer on the front door and wait (all looks v nice its a new build and one of those chains of daycare facilitys).....im still waiting 5 mins later and just as im about to ring the buzzer again the door is opened by none other than the manager, (again im thinking thats really good i get a walkround with who must obviously be the most informed person there ....put my mind at ease and such )

sooo she opens the door and we go in ...now before ive even got my coat off she starts fireing questions at me ...am i aware of our eligability for the servis ? am i aware that there might be extra costs involved ?....this stopped me in my tracks and, when i explained to the "lady" ( and i use the term thru gritted teeth) that yes i was very well informed by both my family center and one of her own staff that none of the previous points she had made were an issue ..and that my family support center worker had infact place 2 other children the previous week in her facility without and issue's , she litteraly looked me and my partner up and down (you read the term all the time but when its done to you its the most infuriating thing ever!)
and said that she currently had no more places available and that perhaps our needs would be better suited to one of the smaller daycare centers in the area!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know what i did?
drop her on her ass where she stood ?
insert her clipboard in a very uncomfertable place?
nope
i turned around and walked out in utter disbelife i honestly was lost for words
i couldnt ever think of a passing shot as i left ............i really thought that the stigma attached to being modified nowdays had dropped a lil ...or at the very least when it came to my kids ppl would take them as they were , 3 very happy well adjusted, very accepting kids
its a sad sad state of affairs
anyways rant over
thanx for listening or atleast skimming thru the text looking for something to grab your interest :P
p.s. yes i know me spellings crap :P

Oh my god, speachless, that is absolutely disgusting, personally i'd never go back there, (find out which one her car is, introduce nitromors to bonnet) and then complain to the relelvant services, and find another nursery which isn't run by a snotty nosed witch who would try and impress her negative, condescending, narrow minded views on your ikkle lad.
In a few days time, sit down and think about this injustice and be grateful that she showed her true colours on you, who is big enough and ugly enough to let it wash over your head, and that she wasn't let loose on your boy, and hope that the complaint you make will be heeded and she will be disciplined. (unlikely, but this is where the nitromors can help you feel better :D )

Good Job you pointed that out I've been calling you bogie...sorry.. :D

Nasty experience Slug..It's becoming the norm now..People who are slightly doolally are being recruited into the care programs because they are not clever enough to handle any other job..They go on courses that the only skill you need is to sit through the course and then they get a degree in care...Don't do anything silly, I know someone who accidently kicked the broken bottom of a beer bottle under the front of the back wheel of a parked car, popped it like a balloon...don't do that...then a week later someone accidently scratched the side of the same car with a key, don't do that..that sort of thing can make the car owner have sleepless nights and costs them money. and they never found out who did it because he stopped there...by then the car owner had reported it to the police and had spy cameras fitted to the car at great expense all to no avail...John

Just a thought, but why not go to the local press? Nobody likes to be publicly exposed for who they are. Especially self important assholes.
