Last contract i ever did was with a bunch of lads from Yorkshire and we suffered the Southern Shandy Drikers jibes in silnece. It came to pass that one of the local sparkies wives worked in a boozer that was being closed for refurbishment. We were invited, along with a select band of regulars, to drink the pub dry as no stock could be left while the decorators were in. We stuffed them Yorkies under the table 'cos they underestimated the beer and they didn't know they were up against professional drinkers. Also first and last time I tried 'Poppers' thopught my heart was gonna burst.... :D

What I was saying about beer is .... If it is 5.5 alcahol by volume, it don't matter were it's made or were you drink it, it will get you pissed as quick as any other 5.5 ale. Can't see why peeps think they have the best drinkers in the country in any one area. Practice makes perfect and if you put a pisshead from Glasgow against a Northen Alky and a London Wino, then all you'd get is three geezers pissed as a fart...............

Excuse me Mr Ewok

Granted!

Wasn't meaning anyone in particular, just saying it don't matter if you come from the south, North East or west it don't mean you can hold your beer any better or worse than the others. It's the same as saying if you don't ride a Harley/ do rid a Harley your not a real biker etc.... All the bickering about who's better than the others is divisive and un-necessary (though it can be fun sometimes). :p

Obviously knew you was foreign, never had a bad pint in London meself. The lads from Yorkshire who worked with us thought that Lager was for jessies until we drank'em under the table. Not so dismissive after that.
Bit like slagging Harleys, most peep (who don't ride'em) do it without thinking why. I try beer wherever I find myself and with very few exceptions I would drink them all again....

Did a lot of years in breweries and the stuff you get there is different to what you buy, fresh, sharp and cold (even carlsberg is drinkable straight out of the conditioning room, chilled to the right temprature). :D :D :D
