Joining ship in Chile

Landed in Chile this morning. 100km bus ride through the mountains and vineyards to Vina Del Mar. Popped out in the afternoon for fish and beer. Here's a picture of my hand, some beer and a palm tree. Think I've got a touch of sunburn.

Sadly (for me) until about 20th May - meaning I miss NABD and Creature's do :(

Happily (though some might disagree), we have internet access from this ship. So I can keep you updated on how sunny it is :D

We are now headed out into waters around the Chilean Continental Shelf and laying some equipment on the seabed prior to doing some seismic survey work. Specificaly interested in plate tectonics this trip.
