A mate of mine's got one and he's trying to find out some things about it, as all of the information he's got (manuals, etc.) is in Japanese!
before I forget, he's already been on various XJR fora. :D

Service items should be no problem.Spares might be got from specialists like
http://www.bat-motorcycles.co.uk/
there will be others importers of greys as well.
What spoecifically was he after as I would of thought the 600 chassis would of been used, unless the japs made a xjr250
Good luck to him
drew
ps why do grey imports always look better than the tat they supply to uk?

All it is, he's trying to find out what the pipes are, that lead from the head in front of the spark plugs, under the tank and possibly into the air filter... ?

See.
This is typical.
People get on tech forums and ask completely the wrong questions.
What Mitch's mate actually needs is a small English speaking japanese person he can keep under the kitchen sink to translate the manual for him.....
Anyone got one?

He could try ringing Elliots in Swindon 01793 751752, they are supposed to be grey/400 specialists.
Cheers

they do indeed sond like breather pipes, probably an evaporative vapour emissions control system of some sort, most likely going through a charcoal filter as well
just to stop air pollution
if its a standard bike then just leave it, otherwise all I ever done with that system when chopping etc, is little breather air filters
or blanked them, I thought that it might be a problem but spotted one day that I had 2 identical kwaks here one uk one cali import, one had the vents on the cam covers, one didnt, so that was it, billet plates and blocked them off :)

Hang on... I remember Mrs R's old ZL600 had exactly the same things on it... emissions control like you say Tony :D

Mate's just come back and said, "Can't you get them on those 'special' web sites? Or is it just Thais?"
