Farcanal!! I did the Arran one back in 1993 – it was held by a different club then. Went up there from Huddersfield on my trusty (hahaha) CB650. Managed to finish my chain and sprockets off on the way up (kept them going by getting longer tensioner bolts before I set off) and had to have the Monday off work as a dizzy so I could replace them.

a mate of mine from newcastle used to do this (I think he is in the sandancers or summat) every year with his club, he loved it, the ferry and the whole island are taken over by bikers for the weekend, and the locals love it...!

might not be able to do this year but DEF next year


btw anyone know mick (michael philips) from chester-le-street? He has a trike and maybe a bike. will try to think of his club's name.......
