They do that round here too, one of my patients who is not only extremely sick but also very poor and can't afford to have any heating on was robbed of all the money and jewellery she had by some scrote pretending to be one of us......an NHS podiatrist. Opportunist thieves are targeting old people who are visited by a lot of NHS staff because they know they can get in easily.I hope they can live with themselves afterwards the ****ebags.

You forgot the 4 star!

The little vilage where I have my workshop, there is a sweet old dear called Peggy. She lives in a tiny bungalow opposite the entrance to the business park.

September last year, 3 pikey scumbags broke into her home one evening, roughed up Peggy, held a pillow over her face and stole all the pound coins she had been saving for christmas.

The 3 pikeys had set up an alibi by threatening to beat up 3 young girls in the village if they did say the pikeys had been with them all evening. The pikeys walked past the bungalow while the cops were there. They were arrested and found to have lots of pound coins with no explanation of where they came from.

The girls were seperated and broke down during questioning. Only trouble was that Peggy being 89 years old, doesn't have good eyesight and couldn't give a positive ID at a parade. Cops let the scumbags go.

Peggy used to walk round the village every day, always said hello or waved when I went past. She is everybodys grannie. Now she is scared to go out, has home visits from the social worker, next door does her shopping and gets her pension. All the lads on the business park chipped in to pay for new locks etc on Peggys home. Her life is in ruins. What a way to spend your twilight years.

Angry and sickened just doesn't cut it. :mad: :mad:

Well Chopper where the hell is all this DNA evidence that is supposed to be available these days..The reason there wasn't enough evidence is because the cops would not get any money out of it, so it is not worth solving..If they had robbed a bank of a million or more, there would be DNA all over the place..The only crimes the police pursue these days are the ones that pay fines or recover large amounts of money that belong to the establishment...John

I have a personal hatred for this sort of thing, my gran was 87 bless her, lived in leytonstone, same house as she had for more than half her life

she was sharp as a pin, despite her years

a couple of attempted breakins etc at hers and she was bright enough to ask for ID, the guy passed her a card, she took it closed the door and rang the police, while on the phone said guy batters on the door, then comes round the back of the house and tries to force his way in, he did leave, but my gran was pleased as she had this laminated "ID" card with his photo and his fingerprints, and what did the ol bill do, sweek fook all!!!

then a couple of years later we got "that" call, someone had knocked on her door, she had it chained, opened it and the guy booted it with such force that it broke the door and mounting on the lock, door hit her in the face, he robbed her of a grand sum of £3 give or take a few pence

went to see her in hospital, her injuries were horrific especially on such a tiny frail ol lady, she did tell me and my father a name, and as we said goodbye she said that she didnt want to live anymore in a world where people could do things like this to her, thing is that if he had just said could he have some money she would have given it to them, she was like that, it was a 40 minute drive home, and when we got home we got anohter call, she had passed away 5 minutes after we left

police did nothing!!!!

the guy that did this to her was about 6'4 and probably about 18ish stone, my nan was 4'5 and about 5 stone!!

he did get his in the end, thought he was so tough and untouchable that when confronted he laughed and said yeah so what!!!

not all of them go un punished, but far more do get away scott free, than get caught

the irony of it is that should a group of people go after the bastards and give them a kicking, then the police would do something!!! WTF!!!

True very recent Story:

A LitoL (Little old Lady) wanted to home cat from a cat charity, a "Home visitor" went round and checked for suitability. The Home Visitor deemed it unsuitable because her house was two roads away from a main road (isn't most homes like that). The LitoL argued the point (well justified in my reconning), so the Home Visitor went to the mian road, found some road kill (a cat by chance) and took it back to the LitoL. knocked on the door, showed the LitoL the dead cat and said "This is what WILL happen if you take a cat in!"

To say that the Little Old Lady was a little upset is an understatement...

To say that some members of this cat charity are a little annoyed at this "Home Visitor" is an understatement - This is something this vile individual is known for...

Can they get rid of this individual - can they fek... :mad:

Just goes to show that these scum can turn up anywhere and with thier own agenda....

I am sorry to say that I agree 100% with Dougie on this one, in the case of Tony's gran it is the only answer, unfortunately guns are not that easy for us normal folk to aquire but a car accident could be possible, and if it happens to any of my relatives I will retaliate...While my son in law was in Addenbrookes intensive care last year for his stroke, they had a dangerous crim. suffering a stroke in the same ward with two prison guards, only his wife was allowed near him, my daughter cornered her in the toilets and demanded the truth about his crime because she had enough to worry about already..turns out his Grandaughter was raped by some chav and his son didn't have the bottle to do anything about it, so he caught the chav, knocked him down and smashed his meat and two veg to a pulp with a club hammer, The chav died, He got seven years, and his wife got four years for handing him the hammer...Funny thing was that his son won't speak to him now..John
