In the latest issue I printed a letter about the trouble one club had caused at a local rally last year, this letter was printed in good faith, it has just been proved to be a fake.
This was not the only letter I had on the subject, I had about 6-8 letters plus emails too, it all seemed to add up to overwhelming evidence. I didnt want to believe it as it was a local club to me and I know some of the club members personally. But not wanting to be accused of being biased I printed the letter.
I have just had one of the club members come to see me here in the office and he has explained the vast load of **** they have had to deal with in recent times due to a personal vendetta.
So I would like to publically apologise to The Snatch Club from the Wirral, I do honestly believe now that the letter is not true.
One person is responsible for creating mountains of **** for this club, so if you hear of this being said/discussed etc , please remember this is actually BOLLOCKS

I actually sent off for tickets to their " Jingle Bells Rally" and had the cheque returned , saying that someone is putting false advertisements for the "bogus rally" in the mags. There's some twisted people about.
I take it " Snatch MCC" came out of the old Snatchgrabbers from the Wirral?
Used to party with them when I woz a kid.

Funny, when people have talked about you in the past, they've said " There's a child trapped in that buffoons house "
And we all know how close you live to the local girls sixth form college.

We haven't had a letter about the so-called incident, but BSH also received an ad for the 'Jingle Bells' rally which we later found out was a hoax, and nothing to do with the club (although it was obviously someone who knew them as the address of a club member had been used in the ad).

Ahhhh I remember being 37, but it is a fading memory with each passing day.....................

The Kicking Donkey was the first rally I did with the Spread Eagle MCC in 1990.
I won the Rat Bike trophy and took part in the jousting, drank lots of beer and fell over a lot.
Happy days..........
Cheers,
Byrnie.

Used to drink in Spread Eagle in 89/90. Then used to roll on to a place called The Banshee on London road , Manchester. Happy daze!
I always used to win the eating competitions at the "Donkeys" - I was the "secret weapon". I like to think it's made me the man I am today ( pass me another pie...)
Does anyone remember the Quiz the Spread Eagle did called the BirdBrain quiz? I was on the winning side twice, once with Comet MCC and once with the Wigan Pie Eaters. :D

Think I only went on a Thursday , for the lock in ( and I fancied the barmaid!)
Then onto The Banshee until 3 am! Used to live in Salford Quays for the week and travel home at weekend.
My first ever rally was the first Wigan Pier. Went to about 4 or 5 of them - they were superb. Went back to the Pier rally with everyone for a nostalgia trip in 2003 and was hugely disapointed. Must be "rose coloured spectacles and all that..."

The 2003 Wigan Peer rally was the first one i had done as a paying guest. I used to be heavily involved in booking the entertainment, running the disco and the organising silly games. After 10 years of membership I decided I wanted to do my own thing and moved on. I have loads of very fond memories of that rally, especially the ones we did at Haigh Hall.

depends on whether you mean the book by George Orwell or the incredibly sick porno from the 70's :D

You obviously didn't handle the entertainment for the 2nd Wigan Pier.
The first one had a 20 stone stripper,
the second one had a porno room
the third one had a stripper with a python
and so on......
you can see why I thought the 2003 one was kak , when they brought on a comedian ( unfunny at that) / juggler.
I was involved from numbers 8 to 18. There's allways been a novelty act of some description at the Wigan Peer Rally, with only a couple of years missed out, which have included Knife Throwers, Drag Artists and Mr Methane. :D
I take it you were singing "You're shoite and you know you are" at the juggler at the last one? :D

Yep , that was me. I though someone might take the hint. It never really got going again after that. The band played a load of ACDC , to be followed by the dj playing a load of ACDC. Then kicked out into the cold.
Shame really , I was looking forward to it!
Was it you that sorted the tickets out for us on here?
Can't remember...
wasn't me who sorted the tickets out. Might have been Muzza who got them sorted. it was a while ago.............
I hardly played any AC/DC when I did the disco cos i asked the bands what they were going to play and avoided their set list like the plague. It made for a wider variety of music over the weekend.

Yep - Muzza.
Indeed!
More ACDC anyone?
yes?
no?

Only ever belonged to one club "Saltbox M.C.C." who had a clubhouse with a swimming pool at the top of Saltbox hill, opposite Biggin Hill Airfield. Many happy memories and very sad when they converted it into 'The Battle Of Britain Restaurant' around 1969. The only bike club to have a german 50kg bomb as a doorstop
When I were a lad ............

yeah if they were based in that area it would have been, never saw the name written, just heard it, so do you know of them?

The clubs been going for about 3 million billion years and still is. Our paths often cross usually in the most unlikely places  . There were a few club members at Cornbury Park this year. I don't know all of them but those I do are nice, friendly peeps.
excellent I might be able to find some folk from the club and get some info about my 1st ever rally - it was so long ago the details are sketchy - ha ha
