I did wonder why they were all smiling, i was very puzzled by that - thought it might be a cultural thing! And also wondered why the camera man wasn't running because I would have been :eek:

I was sent some pics on e-mail by a mate, that I have kept. Not taken by them, but was part of an inspiring powerpoint whatsit that was doing the e-mail rounds at the time - titled 'The 5 most spectacular photos of 2003'. as it was an e-mail whatsit, you may have seen them... but if not, I have now un-powerpointed them, and hopefully they shall appear in posts below, in no particular order.

NB. from a legal point of view, i do not ascribe this work to be mine (I'm not nearly that brave), nor do I know the author or subject of these works. Please note the (c) Kurt Jones, in the corner of one photo. if they drifted round the internet, I'm sure Mr Jones wouldn't mind the further royalties-free publicity.

Saw a 43 Squadron Phantom do that (by mistake) at RAF Leuchars airshow about 1974.Heard later the pilot got his arse kicked big style!God it was LOUD!!! :D
